Twitcher Alert!!!

Contrary to widespread rumour, we are informed that the lesser-spotted Bamford has returned to training following his migration back from the treatment table. He was seen in training at Thorp Arch yesterday. Insiders say that he was in sparkling form, missing five penalties and putting three shots wide, one of which was on the goal line.
'There's plenty more where that came from,' chirped Bamford excitedly, 'I can't wait for the new season to begin.' He then apologised to the team and said, 'sorry, got to go, I've got a bruised ego and I think that's covered by BUPA.'

Well he would have done better than Kane in the Euros for sure!

^^^

Bamford could be dead for several years and still his cult would think he's the best 9 on the planet. Drugs are
not good kids. Avoid them. They make you think fcked up things.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nobody said he was the best number 9 - even in England but Kane’s performance for the whole tournament was shiiite! At least Bamford would have worked the defenders and defended from the front. Kane did neither.

No way am I saying Bamford should have replaced Kane, because I actually know he’s not good enough for top class football these days. What I am saying is that even with his limited ability he would have been a better option than Kane - as are both Toney and Watkins.

Kane looked a shadow of himself the whole tournament and the worrying thing is he was still deemed our best option up front.

I'd honestly rip up his contract. End of situation.

Plus he'd no longer be in the way of Joseph having a crack. Bye bye.

You’d spend £3m+ on releasing him despite our financial situation? We only just squeezed through PSR. It’s possible that we’d have to pay the higher wage bracket which would make it as much as £7.2m! We wouldn’t be able to afford a replacement. Madness imo

If Joseph is good enough then Bamford won’t get in his way.

Yes i would. My opinion.

We need him gone. The bloke's too divisive & gives us too little in return for his crazy wages.

Joseph will get his chance this coming season, he's shown enough to say he's good enough and like Bamford and any onther player, he has to get his chance!..

As for Bamford, if the bloke incharge of the team is happy, he'll play, end of!..

The fanbase.

There are some who love his running about.

There are others who recoil in horror at his often horrendous first touch & his necessity for having a multitude of chances to put one away.

I know which camp i'm in 🤣🤣

Dividing the fan base doesn’t affect the team though. Players always divide fans because we all have different opinions of them.

As long as he’s not dividing his team mates!

It does however affect the atmosphere in the stadium.

We all have different opinions yes but this bloke polarises opinion more than any player in a Leeds shirt I can recall. People sat near me at Elland Road have nearly come to blows over him.

I've not been one to call for the head of Gareth Southgate but I saw an image today that persuaded me that yes, maybe he was clueless - Bamford in an England shirt.

Unbelievable Jeff.

Seems to me reading back this thread, some love
Bamford. Some loathe him. But, all agree he's a waste
of money. And no one, but Leeds United a fcking
stupid enough to have him on this ridiculous contract.

I'll give him this, no one surfs a medical table better.
