Rabiot

If you believe all the rumours on Twitter tonight he is set to announce his departure from Juventus tomorrow after turning down a new contract, making him a free agent.

Given how heavily linked we were with him and came close to signing him in 2022 do we reckon we should go for him to add some depth to the midfield which we sorely lack?

The only issue is his mother being his agent and sheโ€™s a facking nightmare to negotiate with, one of the main reasons we backed out of the deal last time.

I've always quite liked him, a lot of our fans turned their noses up at him a couple years back which I never really understood.

If we were to lose 3/all of Casemiro, Amrabat, McTominay and Eriksen this summer (I suspect one will stay) then we'll need two CMs. Wouldn't be against him on a free for a couple of years, though yeah not sure about the wages.

Personally, not a big fan of Rabiot, but maybe we have other options which we just haven't heard about yet. I think we will keep McT, not sure we will take up the option on Amrabat, but even if we do, we really need a classy operator on there alongside Mainoo.

Is playing Martinez there an option, especially if we bring in 2 new CBs? I don't doubt Martinez at CB, but the lack of height may be a problem in some games. It's slightly armchair managerish to think Martinez can do a job there, but it could be an option

Absolutely not. Most Woodward like signing in history.

I agree. It would be a no from me too.
Dudes almost 30, he's tall and slow as fack I bet.
I can already picture what it would be like.

He’ll sign on massive wages, will look decent intially but after a while we’ll realise he’s no longer good enough but won’t have many takers because of his wages.

We’ve seen this before.

Doesn't Rabbit have the most vile agent in the world? The agent is also his mother, Veronique!

Best to steer clear.

Yep, and it also go against the strategy Sir Jim and co are adopting with their player recruitment. He's not a promising youth player with a huge sell on value nor is he class leading in his position.

Just type Veronique Rabiot and all will be revealed. She's a nasty piece of work!

Not much left to be said. Smells like a Casemiro - Eriksen signing. After 3 good months, you will curse everything that you liked and see all the massive flaws
