Olmo doesn't play Grays position so that's a false comparison really.

Now if we were happy with Werner and academy kids as our 'new' strikefroce options then we have failed. We are linked with proven attacking quality in these areas that will improve our XI and these are the likely big deals that will be done, hopefully. But the likes of Eze are linked with City and LFC so we can see the level of player he is and also that getting this deal done will not be easy.

Players returning from holiday after the Euros so hopefully deals start to happen soon.

Werner blocks the pathway for a youngster.
And he’s facking awful.

Hence why he's a loan player.

He isnt blocking Mikey Moore (16), this kid will likely get minutes but he's not ready yet to be a starter or even first sub in a tight game.

Werner did no better than OK last season. He needs to up his game a bit in terms of output but was actually a pretty effective attacker willing to run at players and offers pace on the counter and these factors alone help create space for others.

Werner got 5 goals+assists in 10 starts for us last season.

I wouldn't have brought him back but he clearly isn't awful

Moore is 16 the idea that he's ready to be a backup player is absurd. Hopefully he gets a start or two in the cups and a couple hundred minutes off the bench

Also, Solomon (who Ange definitely wanted and begged Levy to rinse Shaktar for) he’d be in front of them too.
