Nope. It's all about journey. Spend within our means and make the right decisions on transfers, team selection and tactics.

Lets do it the hard way. Have faith and stop begging someone you have never met or likely to do so. Man up.

Levy`s legacy will be one of absolute footballing failure, a businessman who put increasing the value of his investment above sporting success at all times.

That`s no way to run a football club.

I get that your previous experiences of how Levy runs the club has led to this point but no club bar Man U and Chels have really spent too much so far in the window. It's very early days - maybe he'll get his wallet out and buy you another Richarlision ?

I can see some dummies being spat out very early if we have a bad result or 2.

Spending money on players that have the right attitude and are willing to put a shift in every time they play will give us a better chance.

You dont know how football works do you

Have a look why NUFC are skint despite having the wealth of a nation at their back, see how City face 115 charges for pumping their finances. Look how Everton spent and spent and are now fecked scrabbling around for investment and having to sell their assets.

Meanwhile look how much time it has taken Arteta get get them in to a position to challenge and how much that has cost them in transfers over that time.. Look how Liverpool cannot afford world class players to replace their outgoing WC players, despite being the most successful club behind City in the last 5 years.

Come on Uncle Joe get your wallet out ! If only if it that were that simple.

I think if we have budget to a get a couple of real stars in along with 1-3 first team quality players in that would be great.

Who they are i'm not sure as still a bit unsure how Ange wants to approach the season ahead... i.e. have a go in the league, focus on Europe, focus on the domestic cups. I guess the optimist would say all them.

Not forgetting we have already signed up Bergvall and Gray.

we've already spent 40m on Gray, meanwhile Liverpool haven't signed anyone, City have only signed one player for about 20m from another City Group club, and Arsenal are trying to get their first signing done soon.

And re signed Werner. We didn't have to.

3 new players.

If we were to sign:

Eze or Neto
Toney or Solanke
Ramsey (swap + cash for GLC)

and had to make do with Davies as back up LB (although we have seen VDV play there), Spence as backup RB, while Emerson & Gil also leave with GLC & Hojbjerg

added to Gray Bergvall & Werner already signed.....

would you be happy that this significantly improves us from last season, and is a decent, large step forward and substantial investment that would see us seriously compete for top 4 AND allow us to maintain good cup runs and have a proper go at them?

Could really do with doing a bit of that for Ange’s second season title charge.

It takes more than 11 to challenge for a title. Think back to the aftermath of the Chelsea game. The likes of Davies, Emerson playing CB. Hobby brought back in from cold because Bents and Madders were injured.

The squad is taking better shape. The youngsters are a year older and wiser since winning the U21 title. Phillips and Devine's loans would have done them the world of good.

I agree the wingers needs upgrading. Still need left back cover. Spence seems to have turned over new leaf. Will save another signing plus he is HG.

There is a lot more to be positive about but you will still find something to moan about 🤷🏻‍♂️

We`ve wasted a lot of money over recent years on some over priced dross, £22m + Erik Lamela for Bryan Gil springs to mind as a particularly bad deal, along with Ndombele, Lo Celso, Royal etc, there is around £150m wasted with the names mentioned above

Just got to wait and see what we do by the end of the window. Nothing to get excited about yet.

Hopefully the data-driven, new team of scouts, Lange, Paraticci and Ange all work together- with Levy taking a backseast- to get some top players through the door.

If Lewis got his wallet out now......how long would it take those corrupt screwballs in the FA to complain?
As City & Pool have demonstrated, the enforcement is moth ridden, holes everywhere.
Also, its not clear if Lewis would be doing anything illegal...all depends doesn't it.

My point is....is Gray as good as Dani Olmo?
That's the class of player Spurs needs in its midfield.

Olmo doesn't play Grays position so that's a false comparison really.

Now if we were happy with Werner and academy kids as our 'new' strikefroce options then we have failed. We are linked with proven attacking quality in these areas that will improve our XI and these are the likely big deals that will be done, hopefully. But the likes of Eze are linked with City and LFC so we can see the level of player he is and also that getting this deal done will not be easy.

Players returning from holiday after the Euros so hopefully deals start to happen soon.
