Wouldn't be surprised if Evans has been training hard since the season ended, keeping himself in ultimate shape.

Pep has just said that Rodri Foden Walker and co who played in the final won't feature in the community shield as it will come too soon for them. A first appearance of pre season in a derby probably isn't the wisest move and he knows it.

I wonder whether our manager will do the same. I'd worry about Martinez and Shaw in particular.

Evans is our oldest yet most reliable CB. He played more
mins than all the other ones last season for us. 😂

Mainoo Shaw Martinez Garnacho are all only going to have a maximum of 90mins in their legs too which is a huge concern going into Fulham.

He was only 300mins behind him though so it wasn't far off.

Ok but Jonny Evans played 15 mins more than Amrabat last season. 15th on the list for most minutes played. He was still very much a squad player.
