The Gallagher- Omorodion deal is being

reported to have collapsed & now we are seriously considering taking Felix back to resurrect the deal ?

Felix, as we are aware is decent, but the club have numerous players to fill his position, wtf are we considering him when we need an out & out striker?

I know relying upon second hand media assumption is not a good place to get our transfer insights & should not to be taken seriously, in fact with a pinch of salt.

In this case i cannot see why the club dont sell Gallagher to someone else, he will make a similar fee, add that to fee to the Lukaku deal and get Osimhen.?

Am i missing something with that logic

Fair play to you though, you have always known how to make money from your academy.

If Gallagher goes this summer thats the best part of 140m euros IN from academy sales.

What's your pre-season been like? Promising?

Roman, knew how to do it for sure, but he was a football brain, he had control over the finances, also he did it from position of strength , as he was not under the same pressure due to todays FFP/ PSR scrutiny.

Plus he did prioritise elite level competitiveness , which these guys have let slip, with their moronic actions in the 1st season.

Going forward, Im highly sceptical whether the current business model that the ownership have in place will establish the club for the foreseeable future as no more than a top half club, it may enable them to manage FFP and gradually stabilise the clubs finances and value .

Pre season, ?

Personally I did not expect much more than what we got, due to the world cup/ unfit long term injured players/ key spine being out and so on. We did have pretty tough set of fixtures, Real, Celtic, City, Inter .

Importantly we didnt suffer a long list of injury, bar Reece James

Players got minutes, the manager got the opportunity to look at his squad as it was.

Also the new manager effect.

we play you in December and April.

God knows what state either team will be in by then.

It is by no means certain that we will continue to improve under Ange this season. Remains to be seen if we can address the issues of last season, tactically and in personnel.

That is good for us, hopefully by the December Maresca will be getting the squad into a rythme.

Spurs this season? i cant see why you wont progress providing your new transfer dealings keep you at pace with your top 5 to 8 club rivals.

I think you are right on Spurs, but we had so many issues in the 2nd half of last season that i think this has shaken the confidence of the fan base a bit, and may be even the team.

Ange's tactics require total commitment so if we start to hit a bit of poor form, then immediately the tactics will be questioned. That could spiral downwards like it did a bit last season.

That said, i think a fair chunk of our issues from last season came from an imbalance in the team which mainly came from having to play Son up top. We were often easily kept at arms length by a low block, forcing us into more inpatient, riskier moves where we lost possession and were vulnerable on the turn over.

Re Gallagher... I understand the hows and whatnots... clear profit, not fitting with Reskaball etc,
Anyone out there feels like I do that Connor's departure is harmful to the general team?
His loyalty, on pitch efforts , future captain material plus that he loves Chelsea and has the potential to be top tier.

Since the deal is not working , let's keep him I say!

Personally i had hoped he would run his contract down and negotiate a new much improved deal.

His influence in the dressing room is worth its weight in gold.

But this ownership, do not see all that he offers as being as valuable as the fee.

I think it says everything we need to know about this ownerships view and understanding of how to run Chelseafc unfortunately.

Imo, any club with serious ambition to succeed at a top 6 level need players like him, over untried and inexperienced youth prospects.

Totally agree your comments... they and ultimately us fans, will rue the day CG left Chelsea. There is a very slight outside chance this disastrous decision might still be reversed...but not holding my breath.
