Would Rutter and his agent have even entertained it?

He clearly wants the move otherwise he wouldn’t be going, so why would he price himself out of it with a higher release clause in the contract?

who knows....but when a player is finally showing good form, you try and tie them down.

We knew about this clause and I see no evidence of any action to protect us against the execution of this clause.

There is ZERO excuse now to not spend money in teh remainder of this window.

Any responsible owners would be properly managing these risks esoecillay when one can do contracts in their sleep.

It's called negotiation, you find something that works for all, we didn't do that.

Negotiations don’t happen when a player and agent can laugh at the club for thinking they’d sign a relegation clause for £60m.

49ers just there to make profits....

Like just about everyone, I'm tired of the 49ers/every
fcking owner since Leslie Silver, spoon feeding us piles
of crap and then asking us to smile while we swallow.

Nothing adds up right now. Outside of the giant pile
of fees they have garnered from selling the soul of our
team. There are no clauses to oops there was a clause.

Sick of it. We should be bullying our way back to the
Prem. Instead of stumbling around like a drunk.

Why are you talking about a relegation clause? We’d akready been relegated.

Because it’s in the first paragraph of your article.

You can change that to release clause, if you like, but the point still stands.
