We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement for the permanent transfer of Wilson Odobert from Burnley, subject to formalities.
The 19-year-old has agreed a deal that will run until 2029 and will wear shirt number 28.
Wilson began his career in the Academy of Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Troyes in July, 2022, where he scored four goals in 32 appearances.
That earned the winger a move to the top flight in England with Burnley, and he became the Clarets' youngest ever Premier League goalscorer in October, 2023, with a goal against Chelsea. During his time at Turf Moor, he made 34 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals.
On the international stage, Wilson has featured for France across numerous age groups and is a current France Under-21 international.
Anyone seen this guy ? I know nothing about him. Underwhelmed if this is our main winger signing!

Yeah, it’s a bit pathetic when people say that.
You can think a signing is a bit meh without hating or booing a player surely.
For example, I don’t hate Werner, I’d never boo him. He’s just not very good and a terrible signing for many reasons.
An opinion on a football site, about a footballer, based on my experience of watching footballers, playing football and watching how our club is run and how other clubs are run.

Just asked a Burnley season ticket holder about him.
He said it’s amazing business for them as they only paid 15mil for him 12 months ago.
He said they can’t believe we’d pay that much for him based on what they saw from him last season.
Scored 4 goals in 30 games.
Summed it up with “He’s a bag of potential” and “Your scouts obviously see a diamond in the rough”.
I told him we don’t actually have scouts, we just have an old Amstrad computer with the Levy algorithm programmed in to it.
So basically another punt.

I don't know what an Amstrad looks like, or does.
But I certainly know the Levy algorithm.
We are probably in for a disappointing season......we'll see how it starts on Monday! .....
