looks quick and both footed on the youtube

very young and probably not a starter, will he even be able to be registered in our europe squad?

We need more players but cracking signing.

A key example of a player most are saying they no little about on x/twitter but if you watched Burnley. Odobert and Esteve the centre back are far too good. The eye test is enough to know we have a good player.

Stats show a tremendous upside to him great signing. Right wing and Centre cover.

We need more though lets hope this is Levy bargain basement hunting to bring in more numbers.

Makes sense , Iran Pro League football club Persepolis Tehran has put in a bid for Manor Solomon. I hear he is keen to go.

So this is out marquee signing?

Not being funny but this absolutely smacks of an opportunistic grab for profit in a similar mould to Solomon.

I know he's only 19 but he was in the Prem last year and I've never even heard of the fella. If he'd pulled up any trees don't you think we'd know about it?

I honestly don't know what we're doing as a club. This guy is a left winger so not content with Son, Werner, Yang and Solomon. We now have this kid too. Can anyone really see him challenging the starting eleven?

We've not made one signing this summer you could hand on heart say is improving our first eleven, aside from Solanke. You'd hope, in time, Gray and Bergvall will but there's no guarantees about that because they're kids entering the Prem for the first time. Where are the absolute bankers?

I really don't think we're a serious club anymore.

think we are making the squad younger and buying for the future but its important to balance with players to go straight in the first time, of which we have made just one

and then we struggle to find minutes for these youngsters to show their worth, then they end up being loaned out until their contracts run out or theyre just let go

To be fair, I started that sentence and totally forgot about Solanke, so dropped him in at the end

I just thought we were gonna have a real go in the transfer market this year but we're gambling on Championship punts. When you've read all year that it's going to be one of Neto or Eze and then you get a kid in from Burnley most people have never heard of, it gets feckin tiring supporting this club.

The priority of the club isn't to win. It's to buy cheap potential diamonds and polish them off for resale. That's the business model. At least over at Chelsea, Boehly might be a disastrous joke, but it's clear that his intentions are to win trophies, even if he's making an arrrse of himself trying. At least he wants it. Levy just doesn't.

Where did the 30m figure come from?

posted on 16/8/24

I am almost certain he will be for the right wing. He is not replacing Son yet and we are not spending 180 grand or whatever is for Werner to be third choice.

Played 60/40 split on left or right but played behind the forward last weekend.

ranked 4th for successful dribbles for players u20 in europes top 5 leagues

can play LW, RW and AM

posted on 16/8/24

he's a 19 year old who had 19 starts as a 17 year old in Ligue 1 and then 25 starts as a 18 year old in the Prem last season

it's a similar bet we made with Udogie Sarr and Gray in terms of going after teenagers who have played a lot of mens football

it's quite hard to assess him when he's exclusively played for teams that have gotten relegated but he's clearly very technical and a good dribbler and can play on either side

I think it's a bit underwhelming given I think we needed someone with a bit more pedigree to come on and properly displace Brennan but it's the kind of signing that has served us well recently and I think our recruitment team has earned a bit of trust

There are only about 3 spots in the first 11 we were ever going to realistically be able to improve. One was up front, one is in midfield, and one is RW. The back 5, Son and Maddison weren't going to be bettered. We've added Solanke up front and this was by far the area we most needed an improvement in. The other 2 areas could potentially be filled by a player we already have making that position his own.

I remember the name from seeing Burnley a couple of times last season and I was pretty impressed. Didn't know he was that young.

He played the entire season in the Premier League, last season, for a struggling team… & did very well…

Potentially a very good signing!

That I understand but for every Udogie or Sarr, there's a Solomon, who this kid reminds me of.

I'm absolutely staggered at the fee because even when you play for a relegated team in the Prem, there's usually something you see on MOTD where you're like "blimey, he's a bit good" but I've never even heard of his name. Not even close. Now for 30m at 19 wouldn't you expect people to have noticed his talents already. Not one pundit has called him out for shining.

Sorry to put a dampener on things but those are the facts. There's a temptation from all fans to skew to the positive with things like this in order to make it more palatable but if you take the right marker, any average player can give you remarkable stats if you ensure your vantage point flatters them. Sky do it all the time to push the narrative pundits are outlining.

I might be proved wrong here but l can't even see a youtube clip that tells me this lad is anything other than a squad player, destined for the subs bench.

None of this loan out rubbish…

I expect him to go straight into the match day squad for Leicester game…

Goodbye to Solomon!

Sorry lads, I'm just a bit cheesed off that the rumoured marquee winger hasn't played out. I really thought we were going to get Neto or Eze this summer but that's defo done now. It's just hard to get excited about a player you've never heard of.
