I watched a lot of him at Troyes and his decision making was really exceptional and I couldnt believe how composed he was. At Burnley I thought he was more wasteful but all the building blocks are there.

Have to say I am MUCH happier with him than Doue or Neto.

That is some statement considering the clamour for Doue's signature from much bigger clubs than us. Plus Neto and Doue are both considered big talents on the European stage. I've not heard a whisper about Odobert.

I understand the need to accentuate the positive but I do hope your assessment of him is rational and not based on some blind optimism just because he's signed for us. My doubts are purely based on the fact that I've not heard a peep from any pundits about his talents. Not one. They were relegated. You'd think the papers and the pundits would have been all over it with the usual "he's too good for the championship" stuff but not a word. He's either someone that has flown remarkably under the radar or he's just as as good as everyone says he is. Given how well the Prem is covered, it's a lot harder to unearth a diamond so you'd have to assume he's not as good as everyone says. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong. We'll see.

Let's be real, we have no idea if Doue is better than Odobert. And he played virtually a full season in the prem. He's hardly unknown. Just clearly not a hyped player

I do want him to do well, just not convinced by him. I don’t buy the fake g’day mate persona and he’s not very good under pressure, I thought he was going to cry during the Arsenal game and his press conferences are unbelievablly cringe, just seems a bit out of his depth.

Hope he gets his $hit together this season.

Honestly I just look at him as a kind of caretaker manager.

Seems a bit racist tbh

All these kids is great and we can talk about how they’re going to do this and that.

But we said the same about Gil, Phillips, Veliz in the last couple of years (there’s probably more).

Bergvall looks the best and most ready and all the academy lads are going out on loan - League 1 Donley😳 So they can’t have been anywhere near ready
