They can really drive a good sale.
They stuck to their guns and looks like they are getting more than 20 mil.for van den berg. And this was after psv said 12 mil was too much for him!
Then chuck in 27 for carvalho, 10 for Bobby Clark (which was a major suprise for me) and 7 for solanke they have managed to make nearly 70 mil!!!!
Then think of the salary off loaded for thiago, matip and Adrian.
Be nice if we can get that bloody cdm.
Well you have to give it to FSG

I bet you wish you were a 100% members club like R Madrid
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure that would work. Madrid make their money by selling their own rights to show games. PL clubs are sold as a package and get the same income. I believe despite making nearly a billion by selling these rights, they are still hundreds of millions in debt.
Well that's what I read a couple of years ago. Not sure that has changed much considering the big outlays they have had in transfers and wages the past couple of years.

they are financially one of the best run big clubs
They run an operating profit most years
They obviously, like all big organisations run an operating debt if that's what you mean?
But their operating profit is greater.
Plus all revenue generated gets put straight back into the club...no shareholders to pay out or enormous Exec salaries

They're propped up by their government anyway. They don't care about debt.

Perhaps but if it's not competitive at the top then it's a bit pointless in that respect. The title race is the cream.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I disagree. The strength of the league isn't pointless due to there being quality from top to bottom.
