At least one side of our transfer business is working.

That money will go on other projects.

Boston red Sox, Pittsburgh Penguins, RFK racing, Boston Golf.

LFC is a cash cow for all their other franchises.

They have never taken money out of the club so I'm not sure how that works.

Not sure that would work. Madrid make their money by selling their own rights to show games. PL clubs are sold as a package and get the same income. I believe despite making nearly a billion by selling these rights, they are still hundreds of millions in debt.

Well that's what I read a couple of years ago. Not sure that has changed much considering the big outlays they have had in transfers and wages the past couple of years.

100% correct.

It's why its the best league in the world.

But don't be surprised when the owners of the clubs start seeing things differently. It will be another super league scenario.

The league is more than just the winner. There are 19 other teams in the league. Competitiveness doesn't just boil down to the league winners, it's the standard across the league. Naturally a club owned by a wealthy country is going to be up there most seasons but after them several teams have been there or there abouts.

Competitiveness is at the lowest it's ever been perhaps, especially for the Prem.

No it isn't. Competitiveness for winning the league perhaps but across the league it's at its strongest, without question.

posted 4 weeks ago

Perhaps but if it's not competitive at the top then it's a bit pointless in that respect. The title race is the cream.

they are financially one of the best run big clubs
They run an operating profit most years

They obviously, like all big organisations run an operating debt if that's what you mean?
But their operating profit is greater.
Plus all revenue generated gets put straight back into the club...no shareholders to pay out or enormous Exec salaries

I disagree. The strength of the league isn't pointless due to there being quality from top to bottom.
