I was saying last year and in the close season, he is not the player some think he is. In fact, when he is on the pitch, we might as well be playing with 10 men.
All I got thrown at me were his goal and assist stats and he was a young player who was going to improve.
Cole Palmer is a young player who none of us had heard of 15 months ago
Are you all finally coming to my way of thinking?
Brennan Johnson

Just seen that hes deactivated his account.
Tbf I do feel for him, not his fault he cost £40m+ and gets picked every match.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is so true.
Time and time again a manager picks a player he has bought to prove himself right to the detriment of the team. It is not the players fault he keeps getting picked. It is just the same when Southgate kept picking Maguire. Clearly not good enough and getting vilified but the manager keeps setting him up to be shot at.

I said after his first 3 games he was one of the worst signings in our history , he looked dead nervous and you could see he was struggling with the expectations but many were saying they did not see that and he had a high ceiling , blah blah.
He is a good player but way below what we need. When you look at our rivals and what they have to offer it truely is embarrassing with our pitiful offering. Come on..Werner , Bj and Odobert. Will BJ score goals and assist ..Off course he will but so will Oli frigging McBurnie but do I want him in our side.?
However, it’s just game of football and for BJ to be abused over a flipping football game by idiots online. 😡😡😡
Not a fan by any means but he has my full backing whilst he puts on that shirt

Brennan Johnson is the least of Spurs worries. Biggest worries are a goalkeeper that looks like jelly at every set piece corner. A world cup winning CB that cannot jump off the ground for balls coming into the box to save his life. He makes cement boots look competent as a CB. A midfield pair of Maddison and Bentancur that are weak and quickly fade from games, spend all their time just putting the ball sideways, and a captain Son, that is clearly past his best. Oh and a manager that clearly does not see any problems at all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Johnson is not the least of our worries at all, we have had a serious issue with creating and scoring goals since the 2nd half of last season, ok we conceded a goal yesterday but we should have scored at least 2 which would have been enough to win the game then the whole narrative changes, we do not have the creativity in the team, Maddison a huge let down, and then the clinical finishing, Solanke still early days but Johnson and Son are big issues with the way we play

Personally think we have the base of a very good team.
If only we were clinical up top where creativity, invention and cuteness on the ball is severely lacking. . We easily should be sitting on 10 points imo. A draw yesterday would have been a fairer result.

Yes that's what's missing but instead of investing in top class forwards Levy buys Kids for the future and then will sack the manager, can see it a mile off

I don't think anyone expected a world beater when we got him. You only have to look at his stats beforehand. Unlike Solanke where there's at least one good season to base a signing on, all there was with BJ was youth and the idea of potential with his pace on the wing.
You only have to look at say Harvey Barnes for Newcastle yesterday. I could never picture BJ scoring a goal like that. It looks to always be scruffy connection shots and tap ins if he is to score. There is something lacking in his ability.

Johnson has no tricks or standout skill… just pace… that’s it, in a nutshell
Impact sub at best
Odobert is the better option…
Need upgrades on Werner & Johnson… next summer.

Unless the new manager can get more out of them.

My biggest complaint when Johnson was with us at Forest, was that he would go missing for large parts of the game and doesn’t like to get physically involved
This was masked by his flashes of brilliance and the goals he scored for us - but he was just too inconsistent and didn’t produce often enough
When I heard we were getting in the region of £45M for him, I thought that was daylight robbery for what he offered overall and would have snapped your hand off for that kind of money
Thank you for the £45M - we spent £3M of it on a guy called Callum Hudson-Odoi 🤣👍🏼

That's a lot of complaints,Sandy.
I agree with someof them.
1.Brennan Johnson is not a bad winger. He is fast. He does not always center his passes well, and he's a lousy shot.
2. Vicario...agree he needs to go. Other teams are crowding him on corners and he's scared to command his area.
3. Romero is the best player we have. And it is idiocy to say he can't jump for balls when he's scoring goals frequently and opposing defenses pay him attention whenever he comes up for our corners because they know what a thread he is..
4. Yes, I mentioned our midfield weakness before the season began. Maddison is not the player he used to be.
5. Son....I do not know if he's losing a step or two, or if the captaincy has subdued him.
6. Aussieglue is a one trick pony. And he thinks he's the bee's knees! That is a failing combination. Lose a couple more games and he's in big trouble.
