Sky Bet and a bit of luck...

Usually you hear stories of betting sites facking people over, but in the last week I have benefitted from a number of SkyBet errors.

Saturday - Had an acca that included Feyenoord to win. They were 2-1 up into injury time but a FlashScore notification said it was 2-2. I went on SkyBet and that too showed 2-2 - but it had the option to freeze that leg of the bet. Freezed it and won the acca!!

Last night - Had a build a bet with Young Boys midfielder Cheikh Niasse to make 2 tackles. He was subbed at half time after making 1 tackle, and the cash-out was zero. Checked the stats on the SkyBet site and it confirmed 1 tackle. However there was a green tick next to that leg of the bet. Everything else came in, and the bet was declared as a winner and the money was paid out! Checked on whoscored and that says he made 1 tackle. Withdrew the money sharpish

They also did an offer for a £5 free bet if you made a £5 bet. Did a fiver bet, cashed it straight out and took the free fiver bet which then went on a nice little profitable build-a-bet last night

Thanks to these errors I am a few of hundred quid up on bets that should have lost

Anyone else had any good luck stories where a betting site facked up?

No good luck like that no. I stopped using skybet after they changed their club rewards. Didn't see much point since I rarely win on football and their odds are generally not the best. Might have to switch back on this basis

I put £5 on Germany to beat Brazil 5-0 in the World Cup. It was in play betting, Germany were 1-0 up at the time and the odds were 500/1. Couldn’t believe how good the price was so I couldn’t resist.

Anyway, the match finished 7-1 with Germany scoring their 6th goal in the 2nd half. Logged back into my account to see €2,500 sitting there. I accidentally bet on Germany to win 5-0 at half time which is why the odds were so good.

I can’t remember the tournament but it was one of the golf majors, I had put €2.50 e/w on Tiger Woods to win the whole tournament. It was day 2 and he was struggling to make the cut, William Hill had odds of 2500/1 so I thought why not. But after I placed my bet, the odds quickly changed to 250/1 so it was definitely a mistake.

Anyway, Tiger went in the water in the 17th and didn’t even get a place because of that but up until the 11th or 12th hole, it looked certain that I had fecked the bookies over.

I very rarely cash-out. Been betting for nearly 30 years, and I don't know if it's due to the days when you couldn't cash out, that I prefer to just let it run, what will be will be.
Usually do 4 picks, cover the 4 trebles and one 4 fold, usually do teams to win and over 2.5 / 3.5 goals in the game, the four fold is usually worth around 100/1, so for small stakes, can get a return for a grand or so if it all comes in.
Although once I had a definitie treble up and was waiting for a goal to be scored in other game at 2-0, but it didn't, but my PP account had over £1100........I had picked for the match to win and under 2.5 goals

I was watching the opener for the euros, Germany v Scotland. Germany were 4-0 up with about 5 minuts left and Bet365 were offering 22/1 on Scotland to score last. Dunno why but I put a fiver on it and literally seconds later Germany scored an own goal. They offered a cash out of £90. Germany were threatening so I took the £90 and again within 1 minute Germany scored.
