Anyone else had any good luck stories where a betting site facked up?
----------------------
Loads but ive also had situations where bookmakers have reversed £2000 withdrawals after their F up, and then banned me.
Currently on Naughty list with, BetFred, Sky Bet, Bet365, William Hill, Ladbrokes. Some I'm banned, others can only bet £1
So mostly use Betfair these days.
I once spotted an error on a bookies site - it was a few years back, but I think that it was Willie Hills.
They used to do a fantasy game. So basically you would have United v Everton, even though they weren't playing each other. You would just take the goals that each of the teams scored against whoever actually were playing and use that as the score in the fantasy match to determine the winner.
This particular week Everton played they match on the Saturday and United were playing City on the Sunday. Everton didn't score in their game, but the market remained open on the website. It should obviously have been closed when the Everton game kicked off.
So I backed United to win the fantasy game and all I needed was for us to score 1 goal. At the time we were dominant and hadn't failed to score for ages, so it was a pretty safe bet. Anyway, Ronaldo scored early on in the game and I think I won about £200.
On a side note, Sky Bet have removed the freeze function from my account. They didn't actually tell me that though until I tried to freeze a game where an huge outsider was winning. I wouldn't have placed the bet if I had known. Cost me about £300 I think.
They must have lost a lot from that United one Elvis.
Yeah, try that with the freeze option. Worked a couple of times, Luton going one up at Anfield was a big one off the top of my head.

I know its not on all matches and got caught with that.
But it was common to place three <8/10 matches and one 6/1 home team and then freeze it if the went one up. So essentially getting win price for the price of first to score. Absolutely hammered them with that last season before the ban.

Ipswich against City was big a few weeks back. Think they were 20/1 or something daft.
I was just putting on 4 home bankers and a big outsider. I've got a mate doing exactly the same who has won thousands doing it and not had the feature removed. I won a few doing it, but nowhere near his levels. Doesn't make sense to me.

No, it was definitely on the match I had. I messaged them on live chat complaining that the freeze option wasn't available on the match and they told me that the feature had been blocked on my account. Refused to discuss it any further.
Yeah, missed the Ipswich one, wasn't happy
Nah but ive passed on about £800 of Cash Outs in the past two weeks over 4 or 5 bets, and ended up with 0 on all of them!
Cash out is the devil's work.
And when you decide to cash out it will be suspended because a team in the acca 4 up already has a chance. By the time it comes back the dodgy game will be 1-1 !,# cash out is 10p
Nope mine is always the other way around. Although never used Skybet for football, only for extra places on the horses. Gonna try this freeze thing out.
Although got £1300 the other week with Belarus 6/1 in play along with a few odds on teams.
Got £800 over the weekend there with a 4/1.
Was on for £6k when Newcastle were 10/1 in play and losing 1-0, only for an odds on to concede 88th minute.
Was on for £6.5k last night, four teams result and BTTS and Villa with both not to score. All up apart from Sporting. Bloody Angel Gomez got a red first half for Lille and they'd a goal ruled out late on. Cash out was £650 odds at one point.
Gonna try thay freeze feature tonight.

My worst I was on holiday in Georgia. Done an accumulator for £1300. Fell asleep. Wife came and woke me up and naturally the first thing I did was check the bet. Was coming up to full time and all winning but Luton, who were down the leagues at this time. Checked the stats and they weren't having any attacks. Cashed out around £90. As soon as I pressed it I had the sound that used to come through on my phone, I think from Flashscores when I used to star my bets on there. A goal was scored and you guessed it, literally a couple of seconds after I cashed out, Luton scored. Naturally the wife got the blame for waking me up.
I've never cashed out since, unless it's a winning bet when I'm getting slightly less for cashing out.

nope but i have had offers removed after using them a bunch (i could see them on the website when i logged out)
No good luck like that no. I stopped using skybet after they changed their club rewards. Didn't see much point since I rarely win on football and their odds are generally not the best. Might have to switch back on this basis
Sky bet club is shiiit now.
Been on Coral recently but am so used to SkyBet it is just easier.
I put £5 on Germany to beat Brazil 5-0 in the World Cup. It was in play betting, Germany were 1-0 up at the time and the odds were 500/1. Couldn’t believe how good the price was so I couldn’t resist.
Anyway, the match finished 7-1 with Germany scoring their 6th goal in the 2nd half. Logged back into my account to see €2,500 sitting there. I accidentally bet on Germany to win 5-0 at half time which is why the odds were so good.
I can’t remember the tournament but it was one of the golf majors, I had put €2.50 e/w on Tiger Woods to win the whole tournament. It was day 2 and he was struggling to make the cut, William Hill had odds of 2500/1 so I thought why not. But after I placed my bet, the odds quickly changed to 250/1 so it was definitely a mistake.
Anyway, Tiger went in the water in the 17th and didn’t even get a place because of that but up until the 11th or 12th hole, it looked certain that I had fecked the bookies over.
Seven fold tonight, six up. City beat me.
I very rarely cash-out. Been betting for nearly 30 years, and I don't know if it's due to the days when you couldn't cash out, that I prefer to just let it run, what will be will be.
Usually do 4 picks, cover the 4 trebles and one 4 fold, usually do teams to win and over 2.5 / 3.5 goals in the game, the four fold is usually worth around 100/1, so for small stakes, can get a return for a grand or so if it all comes in.
Although once I had a definitie treble up and was waiting for a goal to be scored in other game at 2-0, but it didn't, but my PP account had over £1100........I had picked for the match to win and under 2.5 goals
Spurs & >3.5 goals did me yesterday

Me too. A good result for the bookies.
I was watching the opener for the euros, Germany v Scotland. Germany were 4-0 up with about 5 minuts left and Bet365 were offering 22/1 on Scotland to score last. Dunno why but I put a fiver on it and literally seconds later Germany scored an own goal. They offered a cash out of £90. Germany were threatening so I took the £90 and again within 1 minute Germany scored.
