City crying about dark arts is quite hypocritical. They should get a dose of their own medicine.

Walker was in line with his defensive line and in the right back position. He was not moving further right, he was set in line with his fellow defenders, and shouting instructions. He was showing no intention of going anywhere other than where he was?

Given the debate is about delaying the restart, how long is the ref meant to give Walker once he is clearly in position?

Free kick was further forward largely because Silva picks the ball up and takes it into his half (delaying the restart)

And the ref & arsenal are under no obligation to wait for walker to do a little team talk, he was in position

That's your view. Unfortunately not shared by every pundit after the game (including Merson). But he probably has an agenda against Arsenal.

Finally a voice of reason from the Op in the midst of all the post match carnage, meltdowns and conspiracy theories.

To be fair, this works for you. The low block when leading, going down, keeper dropping on the ball when catching it, kicking the ball away and various other dark arts. Problem is there's a clamp down on this behaviour this season which Arsenal are suffering from.

Arteta has you playing with a a lot of similarities to Atletico Madrid. Although to be fair, there are not many, if any, teams who could have got a draw against City when down to ten. Without these tactics you likely wouldn't have either.

They may very well be clamping down on it but they are not treating everyone the same. I believe recently one of your own players Szoboszlai who was on a yellow card kicked the ball away no second yellow. Doku yesterday kicks the ball away no card. The game against Brighton before Rice gets a second yellow Pedro kicks the ball away thirty yards up the field no card. I want Arsenal players to be smart but there is a double standard going on here.

Don't remember the Szoboszlai one. Perhaps it was not as obvious as when Rice kicks it as the opposition were about to take a freekick, ie. delaying the restart. In real time I thought Trossard got a second yellow for his foul, which for me would have been warranted and to then boot the ball away he can't have any complaints.
