McTominay

He’s storming it with Conte and Lukaku et al in Italy and has helped fire Napoli to the top of the table. Was it a mistake to sell him? He was and never will be world class but when played in the right position for club and country he has an incredible knack of scoring important goals. Considering we struggle to score in the league surely players like that are hugely important?

I was never his biggest fan but I think he’s better to have in the squad than not and I’ve got no doubt he’ll be back in the PL in the next couple of seasons and we’ll probably wish we’d kept him.

He's getting regular first team football, in a less pressurised situation so probably enjoying it more, and getting to experience a completely different life and that will have its benefits also, both on and off the pitch.
………..,,,
McTominay is now going for a league title vs going for a top half finish. He has more pressure to perform every week now and Napoli usually have passionate fans. Man Utd have less pressure these days as we can finish near the worst in the league every year and ten hag gets the blame.

He's in his first season in Italy. I don't doubt there is pressure on him etc. but he's still got a honeymood / settling in period and he's started off well. As for going for the title etc, that's the type of pressure you want and can enjoy.

The pressure at Utd of everyone saying how rubbish you are and where everyone is struggling etc - that's not enjoyable at all. Of course ETH gets the blames as manager, but the players quite rightly get slated also.

It's more enjoyable playing in a winning team and coping with that, than a struggling one.

there are no consequences of not performing well enough for Man United. The same lot generally get picked every week and they are all involved with the matchday travel banter and routines. The manager has seemed to have been given a carte blanche by the various owners to make team selections, setups and tactics, (that clearly still dont work after 3 years of trying), game management and subs, and he explain them away in nonesense talk and riddles, as he sees fit, in his postmatch interviews. The mood at OT with the supporters is at a low, all expecting the worse before a ball is even kicked, sitting in silence watching calamities play out, getting out-sung and humiliated by the away support who these days see a trip to OT as a Beano who just come to laugh at Man United. Its totally untenable and we've have had enough.

Villa Park is a very happy hunting ground for United in the PL era. All he has to do is set 11 elite international professional players up to be hard to beat. Any manager can do that. Then let's see what happens today. That bottom third and even the relegation zone gets nearer every week.

Tottenham have faced 1 more shot than they have attempted in the EL and have a goal difference of +4. Man Utd attempted 27 shots more than we have faced and our goal difference is +0. What is funny is Spurs have only shot 27 times in the EL.

On about the EL. Its like a common theme for years. I think the 3 Wembley games against Man City, Man City scored 2 goals more than expected and conceded 2 goals less than expected. Pep teams rely on insane efficiency to be successful. Inter battered them in XG in the final but lost. Man Utd battered them in FA Cup final but lost. That is why Man City go for the efficient players. We spent £100’s of millions but don’t have a squad of decent finishers. One of our best in front of goal McTominay we let go.😂

well we've played 2 games in the EL and one of them we had 10 men for 85 minutes

thought your obsession with numbers would have taught you about the importance of sample size already

What were your thoughts on the Porto match hafi?

posted 12 hours, 1 minute ago

I am just saying how efficiency Spurs are to have a goal difference of +4 when we attempted more shots than we faced by a bigger margin than Spurs total attempted shots to have a goal difference of 0 lol. Porto tactics after we went down to 10 men was face a barrage of shots. I think we had like 10 shots in 10 minutes after we went down to 10 men. If our players could finish better we could have easily won. Porto thought it is Man Utd they can’t finish, they were letting our players have free shots at goal all 2nd half so letting Maguire have a free header was in keeping with there game plan. That we took 25 shots to score our 3rd goal lol. Funny I thought we are clinical today after scoring 2 goals from 4 shots. Didn’t think it would take another 25 to score.😂 We actually ended the first half after it went 2-2 with 9 shots to opposition 0 and Casemiro and Rashford both should have easily scored.

Its more hilarious against Twente after we conceded we ended the game with 9 shots to 1. Both times TNT sport ex Man Utd player pundits and presenters said after we conceded we basically folded when we mullered the opposition. So in the time we folded when the commentators said we had 18 shots to opposition 1 lol.
