I’m well aware it happens. I’m just of the opinion it’s not right that a team can win the World Cup with a foreign man in charge of the tactics, players, training etc. To me it’s not the spirit of international competition, but it’s just my view, appreciate im probably in the minority and I fully respect the alternative view

If an alien came to Earth and you were trying to explain to him international football and you talked about how it's one country versus another, he'd surely wonder why there is a team full of players belonging to England but a manager who is not. There's not really any way to explain it that makes sense.

explain to them that our Royal family is German too
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which part of Germany were they born in?

Well there is, the manager isn’t part of the team.

Simple.

Why the assumption that they'd be able to understand English?

I suggest the alien would be more concerned as to why so much time and effort is being put into a game when there's so much human suffering.

Yeah and why people who kick a bag of wind around earn hundreds of times more than those who save lives for a living

Yeah and why the things we enjoy most are bad for us. I mean, Hobnobs are facking fantastic. Why isn't celery as nice?

While we're at it, we should probably be asking the alien about interstellar travel. Not that his takes on Thomas Tuchel and nutrition wouldn't be interesting, of course

You're right, he said you'd explain it, so you could choose any of the languages you speak.
