It’s an ELITE appointment. Hilarious that people are crying that he’s German when an English manager still hasn’t won’t a single PL title

England v Germany, World Cup final, Tuchel would be seriously conflicted.

We`ve been here before with foreign coaches, and none of them were the right fit.

It's not the first foreign coach England have had so it's not huge, I get the whole German, England thing but he's a professional and want to do well, as for games where the two countries clash there is no doubt he'd want to win it, he'd have no issue beating Germany imo, time will tell how he does however

Just because we had some before doesn't mean we can keep having them.

England should have an English manager. I don't even care if all our options are shiiit, although you look at Southgate as an average club manager and he got us near enough.

Fair enough, it's each to their own and it's not my national team so England fans opinions will carry more weight but as as a Scotsman I'd be happy with an English manager if he could win us games and be successful but there will always be differing opinions on these kinda matters

You won`t see the Germans appointing an English manager, in fact they have all been German.

It`s part of how they continue to breed a winning mentality.

Well I wouldn't want a Scotsman managing England. I don't if that's because of where each of our countries are in the spectrum of international football in terms of the quality of teams. Not trying to wum by the way.

We have many quality young players now. I feel we'd be near with other English managers that we shouldn't be resorting to foreign ones.

My view is, all the players must be English, so why not the manager and staff?? Surely that’s the point of international football
I think FIFA need to make a rule to that effect

Exactly. It's all a nonsense really. It's supposed to be your country's best versus our country's best and the manager has a big role in that.

What's the point if it's another country's best, or one of them, managing for a different team?
