Best and Worst Stadiums

Quiet on here so let's see how this goes

What are the best and worst stadiums you have been to?

Thinking about-
atmosphere
facilities
standing/seating areas
getting to and from
anything else really

Best stadium for me is Wembley. Everything about it is great. Atmosphere is electric when it gets going, access to and from is brilliantly controlled, facilities are great and the stadium as a whole is just stunning

Special mention though to Bernabeu, Metropolitano (Atletico) and Stade de France.

While I love going to Old Trafford as it has that nostalgic old school feel to the stadium I really want to go to the Emirates as apparently that is phenomenal too.

Worst stadiums for me are Cappielow (absolute mess of a ground), Bristol Rovers (can't explain, just hated it and I was there for Crystal Palace v Rovers years ago) and of course Hampden.

Hampden when you are in the middle of the crowd is a great atmosphere but if on the edges or it is a quiet game it is crap. Plus the view compared to most stadiums is poor so seat selection is critical. And don't get me going on access to and from the stadium

Over to you

Once this has ran its course, I’d like to open up the discussion to public parks. We could consider

atmosphere
facilities
standing/seating areas
getting to and from
discretion of local police

Spurs is probably the best I’ve been to on the criteria given

Years ago at Palmerston. Was stunned when fans changed ends at half time

I remember years ago going to East Fife and being able to walk round to the other side at half time.

I have recently been at Stenhousmuir as CS Jnr was playing there. Not sure you can call it a stadium really. Wee Jum came along for a chat, walked out to costa then back in

Points awarded if you can find one to fit you.

you dont allow us to go . so no need
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This probably merits further discussion.

I think what he means is that despite Celtic being a progressive club they still only have two genders of toilet facilities.

Scotland only, for fair comparison.

Best:

Eriskay

Tynecastle
Celtic Park
Ibrox

Worst:

Meadowbank
McDiarmid Park
New Douglas Park

POV Jnr is keen to go to the san siro while we’re in Bergamo next week. See how we go getting tickets for the Atalanta game, if we can do both games then fair enough.

Told him that he’s probably going to be disappointed-some structure from the outside, but woeful inside the stadium.

“Da! Show us that football site you spend so much time on.”

Not really. I know no son of POV would end a sentence on a preposition.”

Metropolitano was a good stadium

Villa Park has always been a ground I love to go to

Highbury was a fantastic place to go and watch football, always a good atmosphere and The East stand was iconic.

Kennilworth Road and Plough Lane were the worst i've been to.

Wembley was a special place before it was demolished (not by you Jocks )watching Spurs win The F A Cup in 1980 and 1981 were 2 of my best days at football. It's still a decent stadium tho.

I miss the old White Hart Lane but our new ground is fantastic and I've got a good seat which helps and I've met lots of people that have been there and loved it.
