The issue is, we've been here dozens of times before with ten hag and after a while it just becomes a drain.

Optimistic. That was the best the front three have played together. Injured players to come back .We now have cover for most positions.
I don't say we can do it against the top teams, but I'd be happy being a flat track bully for now.

Basically the whole pitch that we don't have cover for.

Our midfield "cover" is Eriksen or is it Ugarte? I'm confused as to whether Eriksen is now a first 11 player or not. That is possibly the worst midfield cover in the premier league.

Our striker cover is ........ ? A young version of Weghorst.

The first half saw familiar issues, with some moments where we were fortunate not to concede and others where our profligacy was frustrating. However, it was great to see a positive turnaround. Based on the second-half performance alone, in particular the way we conceived and executed both goals were superb, the victory was deserved, far from convincing at times, but a solid showing nonetheless. Notable shoutout to Onana who should have ended the match with a brace of assists but for, yes, poor finishing.

I kind of agree. The one thing that has improved since last season though is our goal is rarely getting peppered. That’s the only real positivity.

We are still poor in possession though.

We are still poor in possession though.

Our goal isn’t getting peppered as much like last season.. but we do have a goalie that we have to take with a pinch a salt..

And sure, look at our position in the league, so that’s why nobody’s over-reacting. But just purely on the game, there’s nothing wrong in enjoying the moment, buoyed by the fact that it was a good performance.

We fans know the task in front of us. they put themselves in that position, but dammit as much as they frustrate us at this time, a Utd win is a United win. 💪
