The reason why I want ETH to be sacked as soon as possible is that I can’t make sense of his decisions and choices. I hated Mourinho when he was our manager, but I could see a certain logic in what he was trying to do. How can a manager in the right frame of his mind play Lindelof (our worst defender) as centre back, move Martinez (our best centre back) to the left, move Mazraoui (our best fullback so far this season) to number 10 rather than play Erickson or even Amad who played in that position with Sunderland a few times and was brilliant? How can a manager with any knowledge of football fail to see that Amad is his best and most creative right winger, and that Rashford is not a right winger?

Results is the bottom line. But his team selections and inplay management has raised enough eyebrows alone, over the years, to question his suitability.
All fans (even ones who say they dont care), want their team to win. We dont pay and go to watch games with the intention of watching us lose.

What happens, I think, when the team doesn’t perform over a long period of time is that fans transfer their enthusiasm or anger to individual players. It’s like a civil war: instead of attacking rival fans or making fun of them, we attack those who defend Rashford or Bruno or Casimero or any other play we think isn’t helping the team.
