Totally agree, his decisions tonight were very strange.

He wasn’t even our best then.

It was weird to bring on antony before amad

Remarkably, since that Liverpool defeat we've only lost one of the nine games played. It feels like more though! Think it's because, by and large, we're so uninspiring.

Ten Hag: "From two tough away games, Porto and Fenerbahce, we take two points, this is a result."

We were 2-0 up against Porto and he thinks a point scraped is worth celebrating. Just get him gone before he starts crying about the trophy wins again.

I mean... Yes he has a point, but no.
It wouldn't be so bad if we weren't so toothless, e.g. we played a style of football that didn't make you want to continuously headbutt a brick wall.

It’s so obvious, and you can feel it even on this forum. The fans have lost even the desire to argue with each other about this team. I’ve never seen this before, and I’m not young.

We are paying the price for not investing in an out and out world class CF, also not helped by all our attacking options being so ridiculously wasteful.

Who is this world class CF we could have bought though? There isn’t many out there.

Make perfect sense to me. He doesn't want anyone to outshine Bruno at no. 10, so plays Maz there. The defence then have to shuffle to accommodate this.

I think we have a decent group of players, but poorly used. That’s all.

Anyone near Kane's level, or even slightly below, would have contributed more than what our current group is providing.

A few names:

- Viktor Gyokeres
- Ollie Watkins
- Serhou Guirassy
- Osimhen

No saying you’re wrong but trying to make some sense of it all (I’ve not got much)…

Assume he wants to give Lindelof some game time as he may well need him in the coming weeks, given we’re starting to get injuries again and had a shed load last season. Maguire and Yoro obviously out, and Evans shouldn’t be playing every week at his age. So makes sense to ensure Lindelof is ready should he be needed.

Mazraoui in the 10… yes I don’t get it. No one does.
But once he decided that’s where he was playing, Martinez at LB was the obvious choice.

Don’t forget it’s Amad first season as a first team player with us. He’s still young, and although had a decent start, he was unlikely to be first choice once Garnacho and Rashford found fitness and form - and both are doing ok tbf. Yes Amad could’ve played 10 today but I think a lot of people (not you, mostly social media) are going overboard with their frustrations that he didn’t start or come on ahead of Antony.

We don’t see them in training, if Antony is doing well there then he deserves some game time too - similar to Lindelof in that he might be needed soon (let’s hope not though!)

Overall though, we’re still dogsheite and need a hundred chances to score one. Rubbish season rubbish team

Some players show great potential given their youth, while others, like Marcus, seem to have regressed for reasons unknown, despite being at an age and experience level where they should be at their peak.

Baw bag of a manager. Baw bag of a team selection last night.

He’s going to force Amad out of the club, when he should be the first forward on the team sheet.

I wouldn’t swap this misery for the FA Cup win against City, but I think he’s trading trophies for contracts at this point, so fail to bring one in this season and he’s gone.

I didn't see any of the match last night, or highlights, but I assume from the comments it was our normal awe-inspiring show

I think a lot of us feel the same - this may not be an amazing squad of players, but it's not a terrible one and it should be performing better. We can have a go at the players about effort etc, but ultimately, it all comes from the manager and he is responsible. It's just not good enough, and it hasn't been for a good while. I really don't see any wee shoots of encouragement either - some players are performing ok, but we never seem to perform well as a team for a consistent period.

You only need to look at different clubs in the EPL with managers who have been there a similar or less time, and you can see what the manager is trying to do and the relative success of that. Of course Utd is a massive club etc, with huge expectations, but it feels like those expectations have fallen so low, that any little crumbs of comfort are overplayed.

You can feel the general malaise on these boards that we are all just waiting for the next manager to come in ...............at some point

He is consistent give credit where it’s due, bottom half of both leagues he is in and no positive goal difference in either, after a 600 million spend that takes a lot of achieving .

It's crazy! He had the chance to try Erikson, Amad or Zirkzee there and maybe find a solution to our attacking problem. Instead he goes and does that.

The rest of league wants Ten Hag to stay for a very long time. At least he won the FA cup.

posted 7 hours, 3 minutes ago

ETH is in an impossible position, continually undermined by the clubs dithering. He isn’t the real problem.
