Amad

Leave him in the team.

If he has 1 or 2 bad games don’t drop him for 4 or 5.

It’s been an issue since SAF where certain players almost have to be good every single game to stay in the team while others can be poor 4 out of 5 games and get picked every game (Bruno & Garnacho at the moment)

Garnacho and Rashford in the same side does not work.

Amad has been our best attacker this season imo and deserves a proper run in the team.

I hope Amad has a bit of a McTominay Miracle and grows a bit. Seeing him after the match mingling with the other players - he looked like a little kid. But that second goal showed that for his size he can take a little roughhousing and prevail.

Incredibly he keeps saying we should pay what ever it costs.

We did that with his other crusades, Sancho, Pogba and Lukaku,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Gyokeres looks a very good player but let's see if Amorim can get something out of Hojlund before breaking the bank again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Neither Toney or Gyokeres have done enough in a top league for me to warrant the money it would take to sign them. That doesn't mean that they wouldn't be a good signing for us, just that the risk is too great.

The difference between the two though is that Gyokeres has been doing it in Europe and at International level for a couple of years also.

Toney merely had a decent PL record for a couple of seasons.

A bit like Toney, penalties are seriously inflating Gyokeres stats too though. Amazingly he has already scored 9 pens this season.

At 22 its probably a bit late for a growing spurt.

Toney really only had 1 good season in the PL. The number of penalties he scored somewhat distorts his stats.

If you look at his record, Gyokeres has only scored against a few top teams and he's 26 now. Not saying he wouldn't be a success at United. But it's a big risk.

...

Bearing in mind Bruno always takes our penalties then I really never saw the point in buying Toney.

As long as he's not easily knocked off the ball, I don't see his height as a significant disadvantage. In fact, his balance / ability to change direction quickly are great assets, which have a lot to do with his low centre of gravity.

According to Google, he's 1.73m, which is 2cm shorter than Salah and 3cm taller than Messi. I don't remember anyone looking at them and saying "he'd be some player if he was 6 inches taller"
