Outrage over London XMAS tree

https://x.com/jomickane/status/1865834827586392370?t=cfegE8j19MT8Z3Ae0c9SaA&s=19

The light display on the London tree is not as good compared to other trees around the world. This has triggered a certain element.

The tree is on a free from Norway

The UK receives a Xmas tree from Norway every year as a thank you for our help to our scandi neighbours during WW2. This year is has been decorated in a traditional Norwegian fashion.

What is there to be outraged about?

The guy is right though, that is feckin embarrassing. And it does highlight the financial situation in the UK which to be fair is visible everywhere you go.

UK is an awful awful place to be these days, I won't be returning for a while now.

I realise my sarcasm often gets lost on here.

…..

I have no idea who you are so would not have any idea whether you are being sarcastic or not.

Where do you live now?

And it's not 'awful awful', it's been better yes, but it's not as bad as some make it out to be.

I live in Arizona.

And I have visited the UK often, but three times the last year was enough for me. The country has noticeably regressed and a truly miserable experience when visiting now.

And that ignores the absolutely miserable weather which is a life changer once you live somewhere with good or even normal weather.
