I liked the lad, and hope he does well.

But I wasnt that sad he left.

Thought we got strong strong money for him

I wasn't happy he went, but at least we got a good one in return!..

You have to take into account that Rodon has stepped down a league and Gray stepped up one.

I mean Gray is playing European competition tonight, you have to recognise there are levels.

Rodon was a good defender, just not elite and lacked pace.

Gray is very tidy on the ball, superb feet and incredible composure for an 18 year old. I don’t think he will be a superstar but I would be comfortable in saying he will be a premier league stalwart for years to come. He gives off serious Gareth Barry, Jordan Henderson type vibes - just a reliable steady Eddie who can play multiple positions fairly well. He is putting some of his senior colleagues to shame.

He's playing against a team who would be a bang average championship team if they were in England.

And even that is being generous

You know, there's a player who reminds me of Gray.... someone who always seems to never be in a rush.... tidy control... doesn't get fazed.... doesn't lose the ball often at all... can see what the opposition are going to do before they know themselves....got a bit of vision... got the potential for massive growth as a player...
