T'will soon be January 1 so what positions need strengthening, and who could we usefully sign (assuming availability and affordability) and what rumours are circulating?
Ideally I would want at least one goal-scorer, another Ozoh-type midfielder (as I wonder if we will see O again this season) and another LB as we only have two at present and we can't assume Fozzie will always be fit and Elder so far has a dodgy fitness record.
We've all heard about Barry (ie?). I've seen him a few times in highlights from Stockport games. He looks more like a 10 to me or an inverted winger. Very talented and could maybe hack it at another level and he's been scoring and creating goals. Many are pushing the Ipswich lad as a CF (Al Hamedi?). I know nothing about him. That's all I've got.
Over to youse all and a Happy Christmas and New year to all.

What is an "inverted winger" for goodness sake. There are two options for width; centre, or wing. Then, three for length; back, mid, or forward. And now we want to invert them! π§

It's a left footed right winger and a right footed left winger. I prefer 2 footed wingers like Hinton.
I wonder when we'll have the same with full backs.

Not me Heb! It's the "in" description for a (eg) right-footed winger who plays on the left and therefore cuts inside his full back instead of taking him on on the outside. In other words there are too many so-called pro footballers who can only trust one of their feet with which to pass the ball or shoot.

I don't know why Collins is getting so much blame, he didn't put himself on and we wouldn't have gone up without his goals last season.

Thank you VC, Chicago. All clear now.....

I agree VC. And he has not been allowed enough game time for anyone to conclude that he can't hack it in the Champ. He works just as hard as Jackson who has missed more than his fair share of scoring chances so far.
People (not necessarily on here) also slate CBT but on what basis? He's not one to go into tackles like NML but so what? He has pace and scored goals for Charlton. Give him some opportunities say I.
