What is an "inverted winger" for goodness sake. There are two options for width; centre, or wing. Then, three for length; back, mid, or forward. And now we want to invert them! 🐧

It's a left footed right winger and a right footed left winger. I prefer 2 footed wingers like Hinton.

I wonder when we'll have the same with full backs.

Not me Heb! It's the "in" description for a (eg) right-footed winger who plays on the left and therefore cuts inside his full back instead of taking him on on the outside. In other words there are too many so-called pro footballers who can only trust one of their feet with which to pass the ball or shoot.

I don't know why Collins is getting so much blame, he didn't put himself on and we wouldn't have gone up without his goals last season.

Thank you VC, Chicago. All clear now.....

I agree VC. And he has not been allowed enough game time for anyone to conclude that he can't hack it in the Champ. He works just as hard as Jackson who has missed more than his fair share of scoring chances so far.

People (not necessarily on here) also slate CBT but on what basis? He's not one to go into tackles like NML but so what? He has pace and scored goals for Charlton. Give him some opportunities say I.

A role once undertaken I think by Kris Commons?

Well I think Collins gives his all but he is very limited in what he offers. Over his career his level has been League 1 and he is towards the end of it now. He is not going to learn any new tricks.

CBT has shown bits and bobs but there seems to be a lack of a bit of devil in him. I agree his opportunities have been limited but he hasn’t made a great case for himself from what I have seen.

But we are on a shoestring and most of our competitors can offer potential signings more than we can. We lost targets to Preston in the last window for example. Credit to Warne that he doesn’t whinge about it but perhaps that means that some fans don’t quite realise the reality of our situation.

I think Brown has done well considering but ideally he would be learning his trade at a lower level. He would develop quicker which would ultimately be to our benefit. The adage “if they are good enough they are old enough” is usually nonsense - with few exceptions players need time. But we are too short of options to let him go out to somewhere like Shrewsbury where he would thrive.

I am sure we are exploring all options that are available, given our constraints. Our main need is for a target man and midfield power.

Exactly Vidal. And an inverted target man would give added versatility........

Nowt against Collins personally, but prefer it if Warne wasn't in a position to bring him on. So the humane killer it is.

It's a great management technique. Perform or face League 1 or the humane killer. Pour encourager les autres............πŸ”«

Now an inverted goalie - that would really be something!
