Rashford has fallen out of Amorim so he had to go. But we need a really good forward to add to the squad, and barring a miracle, I doubt anyone is coming in the next 24 hrs.
I think the board and Amorim must have discussed and accepted we will take the hit of trying to cope as best we can up front for the rest of the season.

I wish Rashford well and hope he gets his mojo back

Whatever the circumstances genuinely gutted seeing Rashford mocked up in a Villa shirt. Massive failure from the club, the years of mismanagement, the lack of development in our homegrown players, and yes Marcus as well.

As for another striker, I see Evan Ferguson is off to West Ham on loan. He's not the experienced finished article but given we're scrambling around for a last minute deal, I'm surprised we didn't go for him. At least he has PL experience and imo would suit Amorim's system.
