Maguire and Ugarte both Out

We will miss his aerial threat for sure. Scored two big goals for us recently and looks more likely to score than Hojlund that's for sure.

Hopefully Hojlund's record of doing far better in European competition than the PL (in both of his seasons at the club) is extended. He has more goals in the Europa League (five) than Maguire has in all competitions (three).

Several articles published this week confirmed that Obi-Martin is not eligible to play in the Europa League, as he did need to be included in the updated squad submitted at the start of the year.

Interesting, I always thought players under 21 weren't registered anyway. Maybe there was a rule change.

I think you can register on the B list an unlimited number of players under the age of 21, but they have to have been at the club for two continuous years.

That’s why we had to register Fletcher as well.

Manchester United are travelling with an 18-man squad to Spain for Europa League tie against Real Sociedad.

Only 15 outfield players. No Maguire or Ugarte. Obi not eligible. Mee, Harrison, Amass, Heaven and Collyer all included.

Don't see him starting against Arsenal either tbh. Putting him up against Saliba and Gabriel wouldn't be fair on the lad at this stage.

Not sure it'll be a very high scoring tie given like ourselves La Real struggle scoring goals and are on a minus goal difference in La Liga.

I doubt it'll be fun to watch but what's new.

Lucky you play away first. I reckon you'd be out if it was the other way around but now you just have to contain them somehow and bring the tie back to OT.
