Tommy Hudd's fundraiser

Those of you on Twitter will maybe already know, but Tom Huddlestone's just set up a new JustGiving page, to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

He reckons he's not going to have a haircut until he next scores (including his current time on the sidelines with his ankle problem), so he could end up looking quite ridiculous - Benny'll help him along though, I'm sure.

Anyway, this is the page: http://www.justgiving.com/huddlefro

Have a gander and it's for a good cause, so maybe spare a few quid if you can. As you can see it's only just started and of the £530 raised so far, £500 of it's Hudd's own cash - you can only respect a gesture like that.

Cheers for listening.

Great cause is it bad to say £500 is nothing to him?

I am sure your bored of hearing this story however....

When my mother passed away in hospital Tommy H sat with my dad for about 4 hours, talking to him getting him coffees, etc.

He noticed my dad wearing the spurs polo top and would not leave him.

Lovley bloke, words cant describe what a genuine nice person he is.

Im fairly new to the forum 'look like modric' so I haven't read that before. Its a nice thing to hear that a player gave up his time to be with a someone in a sad time. Most people would have done nothing, so when you hear stories like yours it does make you realise that not all players are 'disconnected' with the rest of us because of their vast wages.

Looks Like Modric,

Having just lost my own mother,I can fully appreciate what a gesture that was. Tommy Huddlestone is now officially one of my favourites. Why the hell dont the papers pick this up.

Very sorry to hear that buddy. Hope you are coping ok.

Didnt mean to put a sad spin on things, thought everyone had heard my story before! Just wanted to emphasise what a nice person Huds is.
