Because we have another game on Saturday?
Fell asleep second half well it was one o clock in the morning here.
Do you think we controled the game enough to save a bit of energy for Saturday.
Not suprised that the quality we have got beat Watford.Sorry for those who thought our season could of been over last night or Sven could one game nearer the sack.
As for those who according to dung and other posters who rang in last night to moan....if you cant see the positives in last night go find yourself another sport.
Nev coming home for Saturday...!!!!
Did we take our foot of the gas

I wouldn't consider Johnson for Man Of The Match, but to suggest that he get unceremoniously sent back to Man City as one caller apparently suggested is ridiculous.
(Wellens or Nugent for MOTM for me, probably Nugent.)
Regarding Johnson, I'm afraid I don't yet see the player that's supposed to have been consistently knocking on England's door by now. Of course he's suffered injuries and is still getting used to playing with the team and it certainly wasn't a bad performance, more of a 6 or 7/10 for me. I was glad that we saw his awareness in glimpses however, and that he was tidy in possession.
Of course, I hope he continues to improve and settle into the team, showing us what Sven clearly believes he can do.

Agree with you about Johnson Dunge, and I agree Nugent was probably MOTM.
Peltier continues to impress me as well but I'm surprised Abe was called the 'weak link' by some, I thought he was the best of our midfielders last night and his cross for the second was a pearler.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Johnson's performance was International quality but I was impressed with the way he used the ball so well and the way he controlled and conducted our play from deep and many of our good moves came from him. 2nd half I think one of our biggest flaws was that we didn't get him on the ball enough. I thought the link up between him and Wellens was very encouraging and that could be a fruitful combination as the season goes on.
I think Michael Johnson definitely has the capacity to improve and show the form that Sven knows he can get to and I think once we get him playing, I think we might have the best midfielder in the Championship in our side.
What was more impressive for me, rather than individuals playing well, is that no-one in the team had a bad game and that is generally what I look for most because then, I feel, you know that you've played well.

Haven't heard anything about St Ledger's performance.
Did he grasp his opportunity to impress Sven?
As for taking our foot off the gas, it sounds as if we should give Watford some credit for changing their tactics and playing a more positive game. It's not just about us, there are always two teams on the field.

Montreal - St. Ledger did pretty well; a committed performance with few errors. If I was to point out a negative about him, he was dominated in the air by Iwelumo. He's clearly a decent enough Championship defender though. 7/10.

Agree Montreal - There were many factors to explain the 2nd half - none of them are a real concern but yes Watford should take some credit for it.
I thought St ledger did well, maybe looked a bit nervous 1st 15 mins - barring his balls up v bristol thought he played well in that game. Looks a solid player at this level.

During the radio Leic interview, Sven said a number of players were very tired.
That being the case, he instructed 2 players in particular to play entirely different during the second half.
Niether Konchesky or Peltier crossed the half way line in the second half!!!! that seems unbelievable but true.
Not like the first half when both were hammering down the wings.!!!
Now I also note Watford did change there attacking technic for the second half but we actually helped them by sitting back.
P.S I do however think both these players played well

Nugent MOM for me but I also agree that Johnson looked vey comfortable in front of the back four as the midfield anchor.
Wellens also had a reasonable game but I did not think either Abe or King had outstanding games - that said Abe's cross for Beckfords goal was a peach, although the Watford defence gave him plenty of time to set it up.
I think we all anticipated more of the same after a good first half but once again we experienced Sven's tactics of just doing enough which proved to be the case last night.
I would also agree that we appeared to negotiate the problem of a team in the lower part of the league playing quite defensively and we did open them up quite frequently and with some ease. Watford were poor though and whilst Millwalls point at Derby the other week should be noted if we apply the same tactics on Saturday things should look quite positive come 5.00pm.

I think Greatness has got it pretty much spot on. Johnson for me was a class act for the first 70 minutes. I don't think he misplaced a pass in the whole game but definitely tired in the last 20. If Watford hadn't been so dire then I reckon Sven would have taken him off, but as comfortable as we were, I think Sven wanted to give him the full 90 minutes.
I hope he becomes a regular in the side as he could be a real top player again. I thought King was excellent again and is one of the few with the guile to open teams up with his passing and is also happy to run at defences.
Abi looked lost on the right wing. His best position is definitely in the centre of midfield but he has some stiff competition there now.

I left the ground not feeling like we had won !

Barcelona is the team for you I think
Tai'd_up - I felt the same it was the result we wanted but a drab display as stadium atmosphere showed _ I've never felt like that before especially after a 2 - 0 win.
