I think you need to remember that our playing staff have been signed on a shoe string, apart from Maynard (who I notice you have omitted). We are NOT one of the big boys and the sooner you acknowledge this the happier you will be

As BRR said, we are a small club, and big name players won't want to play for us - or their egos are too big for us.

You will be surprised how many of those players will start to perform under McInnes, i think we have yet to see the best of Clarkson, Woolford, Kilkenny, JCR and Nyatanga as yet.

Also, i think Danny Haynes did a decent job whilst he was here and Sabario would have done a decent job had he, like most strikers under GJ, been given a decent run in the side and afforded the opportunity to forge a partnership with someone.

Agree about Hunt, Stewart, Blackman and Styvar though but you wont get every signing right, just ask Alex Ferguson.

Under GJ our defence was very well organised but we had a miserable scoring record.
Our defence has never recovered to that quality. Let's hope Delboy sorts it.

The shame about Blackman was that he had all the attributes to make a top quality full back. I actually think he would have been a nailed on first teamer by now, and people would have been predicting ridiculous things about him. I saw him play at Brentford in the LC, and he looked a super player.
Just goes to show that it takes more than ability. So I think we can agree that GJ did have a good eye for talent
