Smikes, Neville, Irwin, Stam, Vidic, Robson, Keane, Scholes, Eric, Giggs, Ronaldo......but I've had to leave out Hughes and Ruud, 2 great players for Fergie (and Sharpe, loved watching him play). Can't wait for Stretty's list, wonder if Giggs is in it!

So sad to have to miss out on Solskjaer, I really wanted to fit him in this team somewhere! Others are Butt, Evra and Park.
I really rate park, very loyal, never ever complains, never in the media spotlight, very professional, never cheats, or dives, gives 100% running everywhere for the full 90 mins for every game, and often enough changes the game.
Park for me is one of Fergie's best ever signings

Sir Bubbly, take a bow! At £4m a great great signing and United look much better when he in the side, I mean how good did he play last season when it mattered!

I know, in the CL he was immense as usual, and has been highly effective in that tournament for years now. Fergie often enough plays him when the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs meet us in the League, and I can't remember a time when he's ever been the worst player on the pitch for us, he bags goals against those sides too.
Hurray for Park Ji Sung!

What I mean to say is nearly every player has a day where they are abysmal, Ronaldo, Rooney, Vidic, it happens to the best of them, but Park just never seems to have a bad game. Maybe not always at his best, but he never has a poor game either (only by his own standards though).

This is just too difficult. The amount of great players over the years beggars belief. Although less successful in terms of Europe I think SAF favourite squad would have been the 1993-94 one which was full of hard men and probably the one which was made in his image the most.
It's been a pleasure to support United over the last 25 years I think credit is also due to the board in the early SAF years as they could easily have bowed to pressure of bad results during that time but instead backed their manager and showed patience. Anybody who remembers then will appreciate what we have today rather than moan about 'player x' not being good enough.
Thsnk you Sir Alex for the last 25 years and I look forward to many more in the years to come.

Although I think you need more of a poacher like RVN up there with Rooney or Cantona..
Irwin Evra is close... VDS with the great dane as well... Robson and Beckham worth mentions... Stam to Vidic is also a close call in my mind...
