Well what a start - a goal, an assist, Man of the Match and a home debut win (our first since May).
This is the view on new signing Stephen Pearson I got from from top Derby blogger, The Derby County Blog

The honeymoon will soon wear off. Sorry. Can't tackle, shoot or cross. All he can do is run basically.
Good luck.

Baz surely Pearson is better than a 15 or16 year old, I'll tell you this, our mid field is being over ran by the better clubs in the league with the experienced players. Don't you lot find it suspicious where we've heard Pearson is injured then all of a sudden he's signing for Bristol City, and plays for them the next day? Like I've been saying for a long time, Nigel has been told to get rid of most of our experienced players, yes maybe he's not been playing fantastic of late, but don't you think that could be down to some mindless fans giving him stick at Pride Park, something like that dents your confidence and in the long run will affect your game. All I'm going to say on the matter is, Good luck Pearson. GSE you carry on asset stripping our club!!

Wassa I agree with your first sentence, but in my opinion your last sentence is rubbish. Have GSE told Clough not to play Pearson, Leacock, Cywka and sign Riggott??
However good luck to Pearson at Bristol City.

PEARSON is awful, he wouldnt have helped us draw the game today. We need to get rid of these older players on high wages as we are over budget. Dont get all this love for cywka- he was awful vs cardiff

I'd rather my 12 year old lad played than Pearson, glad to be finally shot of him.

With Pearson I am a little surprised (and even disappointed) that he hasn't been involved so far this season because I thought he finished last season very strongly. When played in the middle of the park, most of the time he has very little impact on a game. When played out on the left he can be a great outlet and threat and i'm not surprised he had a good game today. I'm going back a little while (which says it all really) but can anyone remember his home debut against Hull City?
The goal he set up for Gary Teale was incredible. He picked up the ball in his own half and out did two players for pace before placing it into the path of Teale who tucked it away. That single moment epitomised his game. Its just a shame we will remember him for more of his short comings. Good luck Pearson. oh and thank you for that goal. Budapest Ram

All very interesting stuff guys, sounds like he's split you down the middle - often the case with talented playes who have brilliant moments but struggle to produce consistency.
Will wait and see, can't believe he's not better than what we've already got however.
Cheers for feedback

Not better Cider-just different.
But then that is about the manager's vision, which looks pretty good from here
