How long does it take to carry out a

Police investigation into the alledged use of racist language.

There was a complaint by a member of the public

The recipient of the abuse has been interviewed by the police

The accused has been interviewed

There is television footage and no doubt Sky will have cooperated with investiagtions.

Is this the sad state of the Police force today that it takes them a month to look at such a simple case??

OR if they the timing of their conclusions are being influenced by the FA, or whomever, then that is an even more embarrassing situation for the police.

Pathetic. 'Captain' Terry will step out for England tomorrow. If he is subsequently found guilty then all involved will be totally discredited...Terry, Chelsea, The Police, The FA.

This could turn out to be great for us spurs fans.

What !!!

Having a convicted fraudster for a manager ???

Do you want to rethink that one mate

If the case is as Black & White () as you suggest then then why have the Police not concluded their investigation.

I am not saying Terry is guilty but he has been accused and a cloud hangs over him. Why is it taking so long.

It seems strange that a manager like redknapp, who must be earning millions from his job, plus plenty more from his media stuff and his other businesses would try to con HMRC out of £40k. His tax bill every year is probably well in excess of £1m.

I have read conflicting reports but esentially the HMRC have to prove that payments were related to his employment (& therefore taxable pay) and not something else like a loan. I beleive that it is claimed that the money paid was a lone for a investment opportunity and that its repayment was requested by Mandaric. The burden of proof is on the HMRC.

redknapp seems confident and has stated he will spill the beans after the event....inncoent or guilty it is not good for Spurs. He will be distracted during the build up, during and after the trial so from the New Year Until at least mid Feb I am not sure how much he will be on his game! GULP!

Seems strange to me as well, but then again, I'm not a "Dodgy Dave" character, I may have been a bit fly when I was younger but not now I've grown up.
I do however have friends who have earned fortunes in their time, but cannot resist a coup as they call it, strange but you're either dodgy or you're not.

Why did JT give these people a tour of the ground for 10K, to donate it to charity ?? I think not, well not until captured anyhow

Well if a formal complaint is handed in, they would have to examine all of the possible evidence to see if their is sufficient amount to prove he is guilty, or he is innocent. This was never going to be a quick investigation, they couldn't use that one piece of footage to say he is guilty or innocent because you can't exactly tell how he has made the comment. And too be honest this whole 'clouds hang over him' is a result of the media over exaggerating everything to do with JT and making it out like he is guilty

If you or I were caught on camera using racially abusive language, we would have been through the court system by now and probably banned from football grounds.

If we were charged for something similar at work, we'd be suspended while the investigation takes place.

Imagine if Anton was an established england player....I am sure terry would not be in the squad in that circumstance on the same basis that the accused is removed (suspended) from the work place while investigations take place in any normal workk place.

Anton could even claim terry's presence in the England squad would preclude him from being considered.

If Terry was suspended from action then i am sure the whole process would have been sped up to clear his name asap.

The whole slowness of this process smacks of a cover up.

It sounds like from what you've said that you think Terry is guilty too be honest. And yes if we were caught on camera using racially abusive language then yes, but this is a much bigger case than merely being caught on camera as it involves the england captain and after this whole 'kick racism our of football' campaign they would have to make sure completely that he is guilty and of course this would take time. Suspending him wouldn't have made a difference to the speed of the process because they would still have to examine all of the evidence before charging him. Don't see why the FA would want to cover this up

It took the police 9 months to sort out my car crash. A granny falls asleep at the wheel and hits me head on infront of 7 witnesses.

God knows how long it would take with a politically sensitive and subjective charge.
