Oh definately. Tired of the whole thing tbh. I'll get no joy if Suarez is found guilty and I'm a United fan. I suspect that it is either a mistake on Evras part or Suarez perhaps winding him up. The suggestion of the word negrito kind of fits the incident. Maybe Suarez used it in innocence or maybe it was a sly way of getting under his skin. But I don't believe that Evra had made the whole thing up.

Elvis,I see your point,I don't know what was said as I don't read the red top rags.
As being fluent in spanish I was surprised when in the dominican republic, they used the word, negro, negra,or negrito, with no offence meant to total strangers.
As I said above the whole thing bores me.

Some of the comments here sound like players who commit fouls and when the referee gives a free kick to their opponents, they yell "C'mon, let us play!"

doesn't the word 'negro' in spanish translate to 'black' in english?

I can't stand Blatter ....hopefully this episode will see him removed and away from our screens. Got to say it though he's committed the cardinal sin of modern day society. It's becoming increasingly difficult in the workplace or outside to ensure you're not saying something that might cause offence.

I don't condone racism - i've suffered at the receiving end of it in the past - far from it. But i'm also not sure though if sometimes some just enjoy being offended.

I worked with a fellow who didn't get his way, was not being overlooked for management for any other reason than he was rude and inefficient, twice he went for it, twice he was turned down. He claimed racism as the reason. When it was pointed out that one of the two that were promoted over him was an asian lady and that both were far more suitable candidates he tried taking his complaint to a tribunal. The lawyer he saw told him he was daft and that he would lose. He still works for the same firm, but bucked his ideas up and has since been promoted (about four years later).

He openly admits that he tried it on thinking the firm would buckle.

Chelsea fan!
