English Premier League 'fit and proper person' rules are a joke as far as I am concerned! There is no way that Venkys should be allowed to run our club from India, they are part timers and that is unacceptable. What gives them the right to play with our club to promote their stupid company?
Many people around the world know Venky's now and the Premier League is the perfect platform for worldwide media attention. They already have much more exposure than they would ever have dreamed of and that is really all they needed, their aim is already achieved. They can just spout off whatever they think is the best thing to say and hope for the best. The laws in our country are ridiculous just look at Pompy they are in real threat again. I pray this kind of thing wont happen to us but it looks like another repeat performance so far more foreigners ruining our beautiful game.
They really should be crucified. Kean gets all the flack but they should take the most of it, after all he is not good enough but you cant blame him for trying when they call the shots they pay his wages. Who in their right mind would step down from their dream job even with all odds stacked against them? He is trying to say to the press the best of what he knows from his limited experience that he draws from but that is not enough. Perhaps since Venkys are never anywhere to be seen they dont even follow the English press that closely and haven't even identified all the intense scrutiny.
Most of my anger is aimed at Venkys to be honest. I dont agree with Keans tactics and feel that most of his signings are not up to par but that is because he is too inexperienced and we all knew that from the offset. They are tighter than a ducks backside and paid peanuts for our beloved club. I hope they see the disarray the club is in and get some more players in Jan but if Kean is still in charge then who is going to want to sign. Inzaghi?! I doubt even a decrepit Italian would even come to us!
Venkys - 'fit and proper'?!

I really feel for your club Jim, you have to get rid of Kean and pronto the guy is a muppet, but I think Venkys think he will be great eventually cos he is scottish .
Hope these guys will listen too yous. Your team is good enough for mid table as it is, just need a managre Like O'Neill in charge!

Whilst I agree with what you say the English press should never have a say in whether a manager loses his job or not. Just look at Steve Bruce. They are almost apologising for his poor management whilst the likes of Wenger or Benitez or thrown to the wolves for having a blip in form at their clubs. And the way they peddle Harry Redknapp as some kind of messiah ready to step in and save England from that terrible manager Capello. Yes two managers almost the same age. One has won trophies and championships across the continent, the other won the FA Cup once and bankrupted the club in the process. They have their own agendas, and they are a bunch of mor*ns that should rarely, if ever be taken seriously.

I think that's the most measured statement about Kean I've seen for a while. If your Manager puts you in a job you like but can't do, But continues to tell you you are great and shows it by giving you pay rise after pay rise, maybe you begin to believe that you can do the job.
You then look at the pain for the money, or "is it worth it"
So you are villified by a number of people week in week out say 30,000 actively to be generous. and then you look at your salary.
To be honest, I would take his salary and think "Screew you" to the people who hate me. "If my manager thinks I'm doing rubbish he'll sack me, but you can think again if you think I'm giving up this pay check thank you very much"
Oh yeah, Kean Out

The Premier League checked the Venky's out thoroughly.
They play squash, so they're fit and have work permits, so they're proper!

Celtic supporter in peace
I think that Blackburn's best hopes of a manager are someone like Mark Hughes, to be honest.
Martin O' Neill is a brilliant manager and he worked wonders for my own club. However, he is a manager which needs the whole club to be pulling in the same direction as him. Celtic backed him with a lot of money at the beginning and he did amazing: the likes of Sutton, Hartson, Larsson, Lennon, Petrov, Lambert etc made a quality team that should have won the UEFA Cup. He eventually left to take care of his wife who was ill.
At Aston Villa he had them challenging for a UCL spot for the majority of the seasons he was in charge. But when the Villa board decided they would sell the likes of Barry and Milner and no longer back him with enough quality players to carry the club forward.
I do not think Martin would be able to tolerate your owners, he likes to run the whole club and do things his way. Your board do not seem like people who will help a manager. I sympathise for you, because the supporters are the people whom should matter most at a club, and you are being treated disgracefully by the owners who continue to back a terrible manager.
