Some very good points there, but you are misinformed on a few.
Public Sector Workers, or at least the ones I know, have to contribute to their own pensions, they are not a gift, and some of them are not that good.
Also, your view of Public Sector Workers being lazy and pen pushers, is a rather lazy and incorrect view.
That said, the public sector have to fall in line with the government here. There really is not any choice, and the deal presented to them was very fair, considering the shambles Labour left the countries economy in.

The labour government were responsible for this mess but if people think the tories or coalition government as some people like to refer to them have got the working man's best interests at heart then they need their head checking, they through the media are playing this economic crisis like a banjo, making people think these disgraceful cuts are for the good and we should be grateful for their brave decision making, dark times ahead with this lot.

Yes, they do have to contribute a small amount to their pensions but nowhere near as much as a worker in the private sector would need to contribute to have a final pension of the same value. Also, yes, public sector workers on the front line like nurses, police, firemen etc do work hard but the majority of people in public sector jobs are clerical office jobs and believe me, my employees have day to day contact with them and they are lazy and incompetant, as well as having cushy hours and larger holiday entitlement than their private sector counterparts.

As I say, a lot of truth to what you say, but also some that isn't.
One aspect where public sector fall behind private sector is pay.

that used to be the case, and was the main reason for them having shorter working hours, more holidays, flexitime and good pensions. its not the case anymore. I employ over 100 people whose pay rate it slightly above the minimum wage. That's the best we can pay due to the extremely low rates that our council pay us. My competitors in the area pay pretty much the same rate as I do, yet the council employees doing the same job earn £2 - £3 per hour more. Also, until recently, public sector workers have had guaranteed annual pay increases that go above what the public sector has been able to offer for the same type of work.

sorry, above what the private sector has been able to offer

Some of the most incompetent* people I have ever worked with are in the private sector. Probably employed and trained by idiots like you.
