The outrage at Clarkson is typical of the 'horror' people express at what was clearly a joke from a man who courts controversy.
Is it that bad that people have to get all worked up about it, surely people have more things to concentrate on...obviously not!
But Clarkson is a right c_ock
Clarkson is just someone they can vent at because it's easy to vent at someone who's no stranger to controversy. Wonder how many of the people who were "outraged" have laughed at jokes of his in the past.
I watch TG an laugh at him, not with him.
I don't like him either, but I don't get all 'steamed up' by his comments...
I'm not Clarkson's biggest fan, but the media have taken his quotes completely out of context, and there has subsequently been a massive, massive overreaction. I'm bloody sick of all this political correctness.
Jezza should be Prime Minister.

He said something like people who striked yesterday should be executed in front of their family.
What IS all the fuss?? Christ, have people lost their sense of humour. It was so obviously said in jest....christ how sensitive are some people.
Clarkson was on The One Show promoting a DVD, bet he's gutted at all the publicity he's getting...
PieEater
Maybe we will get all the 'horrified' members of society buying his DVD so they can then burn it in a mass statement of 'horror'!
Clarkson is laughing...

I don't but some people would. Like the racist woman with the baby on the tram.
He has to be careful. He might even have gone too far this time. They are talking about it on Question Time right now,.
Agreed. Prime whanquar. Doesn't he write for one of the red tops, always banging on about immigration, tax and pc (which unfortunately for jezza I suspect stops him.being as rude about minorities as hed like to be). He should stick to cars.

He may have gone too far, but you can almost guarantee that if he was sacked then his controversial viewpoint would be alluring to another media outlet. Also, the 'all publicity...' statement is relevant to people in the media eye, it does not affect non-media people, i.e. the woman on the tram!
I watched it on QT and thought that the initial question itself was contradictory to the actual point...the guy said if Clarkson was out of order then should he be taken outside and shot (or something like that!). Is this not making the whole issue a farce?

He should stick to cars true...he writes for the Sun and the Sunday Times I think!
i love clarkson. speaks the truth

BB as you know (as a misunderstood poster on this board) you have to play fire with fire. Some people only understand one language.
Shooting Clarkson would be a mercy killing anyway.

Haha, true mate!
He would probably think it was good publicity...getting shot!
