Rant.

Modric is not as good as made out to be, Sneijder is staying at Inter and Nasri is no where near as good as the other two either. For F.C.U.K's sake! Stop shoving these players down my throat.

Of the 3, the only one I'd take based on ability is Sneijder, but I still wouldn't have him based on the wages we'd be paying, the fee he'd cost (£40m after a bidding war minimum) and the fact he's never had two GOOD seasons in a row, and only ever looked world class last season and in patches at the WC.

We have players here who have Man United mentalities, who've been with us years now and still have the hunger for more success. I know our CM doesn't look great at times, but 4/5 PL's and getting to 3/4 CL finals tell me they might not be pretty, but they get the job done! Scholes loss is a blow, but for a player who after the first 2 months of last season only played from the bench as a bit part player, exactly why couldnt the young, hungry Tom Cleverley do that? And don't say "Oh, Gibson and Hargreaves blah blah blah, because Hargo = non-factor, and according to as close to all of you as can be last season, he was a hinderance!

If it's creativety you're begging for, consider PJS, comfortably the most undervalued player in the PL and underrated by all sets of fans until we saw he could run and tackle, he becomes our key player vs Barcebloodylona! Another bolt from the blue then for 95% of our ja606 fan base is that his best position is a clever, edge of the box player, creating chances, both for himself and others. Park played here for PSV and for S.Korea, and was better than Nasri and Modric. Fact. It's why we bought him in the first place. His versatility has seen him do a lot of jobs for us over the years, but I guarantee with the way he's improved the defensive side of his game, along with Anderson finally showing how good he could be towards the end of last season and at Christmas time (the rest of the season he was injured) we dont need another first 11 CM.

I'm sure we'll get one, but not a first string player.

Ferguson will be aware of this, which is why we're more likely to see a Charlie Adam or Jack Rodwell, than the "Tabloid 3".

What we need, assuming Park IS converted back to CM, (which is a formality given we're likely to have Nani, Valencia, Young and winger X, given our club confirmed bit for Sanchez), is that player who can play all along the left side, and has a left foot for more than standing on.

The obvious choice, I won't state, it's boring and I didn't make this article to sound like a parrot, though clearly he's ideal, given his nationality and that his clubs "we're not selling" house of cards WILL crumble if they loose one piece (and from today's revelations, they will).

Other options are Michel Bastos, Juan Vargas, Juri Zhirkov (no thanks though), Celtic's LB/LW player (can't remember how to spell his name) and loads others.

Article done. Thank you.

Take a look at our biggest game of the season, Chelsea, then tell me the same thing.
===========================
Actually our biggest game of the season was aginst barca.

Make sure you watch from the very start, you know, where he made an inch perfect through pass to Hernandez within a minute.

From the first whistle to the last, he made sure they couldn't keep the ball. Fergie knows how good he is, hence why he's our big game player.

Injury time solo winner against Wolves ring a bell?
====================================
Oh well done him. Against wolves of all people, well well done to him.

Killed the CL tie off against Chelsea with a goal?
Winner against Arsenal in the league?
United player of the month 2 months in a row?
================================

And? None of these things means he has good technical ability.

One pass does not mean he has good enough visision.

He is a workhorse by and large. Its why during his tenure at utd he has been the definition of a bit part player

tretty just doesn't think it's possible for us to have good midfielders unless they cost £35m
=======================================
How many of our midfeilders cost 35 million?

How much did hargo cost? Not 35 mil
Keane? Not 35 mil
Scholes? Not 35 mil.

No it wasn't, the league was the most important trophy and the win against Chelsea won it for us.

So now you're ridiculing him for scoring a winning goal and getting us two points? Wow, really mature stuff there.

And? None of these things means he has good technical ability.
.............................

Limited technical ability but still scores very important goals for us. Whilst working his boll*x off to win every ball.

Like I said, certainly not average.

In your opinion. CL final is always biggest game of season to anyone with half a brain though.

======================================

Anyone can put effort in. And he has scored importan goals in one season in 6, not exactly consistant.

Very much avaerage. Could release him and it wouldnt effect us much. Wrokhorses like him with no technical abbility are ten a penn.

Extremely average.

Park is a top player...scores goals too..if he was italian you would all love him

posted on 18/6/11

He is south korean. Thats foreign isnt it? I thought that was the benchmark for people accusing people of thinking that players are amazing. he is foreign, now its because he isnt italian? Ridiculous. I wouldnt think he was amazing whether he was from italy, spain or andorra. It deosnt matter, because his footballing ability is limited, thats all that counts.

Get back to the real world, you've gotta stop playing football manager in your head.

Luckily we have a manger that does live in the real world, which is why Park will be in our team for the near future, whether you like it or not.

==========================================
Whats football manager got to do with thinking an average player who runs a lot with no skill, guile or technical ability is average?

Nothing, thats what.

I'm sorry but I cannot understand how people think we can get away with not buying a creative midfielder.

If Park could fulfill such a role do you not think the manager would have tried him there already? He is exactly what we don't need in that position - someone who puts the head down and feels the need to urgently pass the ball forward, irrelevant of players in space sideways or behind.

We simply cannot continue saying that the players we already have can come good and make our midfield great again.
