Arsenal have had their ups and downs as we have seen already, however I do think it would be their greatest achievement if they finish in the top four this season.
If you do so without signing players in January, it would be even more inconceivable. Let's be honest, whoever watched Arsenal's first three games will understand what I'm talking about. For those of you who don't remember, Arsenal picked up 1 point in three games and were beaten by United 8 - 2.
To see you guys in 5th place after six wins and a draw is fantastic. Also, you're the only English club through to the Champions League knockout stages without having to sweat for it. But I do fear that you're only one injury away from everything changing.
And by that one injury, I obviously mean RvP
Vermaelen is vital at the back and Koscielny has been hugely impressive this season, but you do still need someone back there because Mertesacker looks a bit shaky at times.
In conclusion I think United and us will surely take two places this season. Chelsea, for all their current struggles, will still be fighting for a position in the top four. I won't even bother mentioning Liverpool or Spurs, it's a matter of time before their good form takes a dip.

To answer your question, NO, finishing in the top 4 would not be Arsene's biggest achievement seeing as he's managed to do it for the past 14 years.

Fighting for fourth? Try fighting for 6th with Newcastle.
Gerrard has been out, but Wilshere has been out as well. Difference being Liverpool have spent massive amounts on the likes of Adam, Downing and Henderson to cover.
Carragher and Vermaelen have missed a similar amount of games. In fact, a quick check shows Vermaelen has made 7 league appearances, Carragher 9.
And Arsenal have a striker who would be a bargain at £35 million, but only paid £2.75 million, whereas Liverpool have a striker most teams would laugh at paying £2.75 million for, yet Liverpool paid £35 million!!
