Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has given his opinion on the current Luka Modric transfer saga by insisting the Croatian should quit Tottenham as he deserves to be playing in the Champions League.
The influential midfielder’s future at Spurs looks increasingly uncertain after he was quoted as saying he wants to leave the club in the wake of a £22 million bid from Chelsea.
Whilst Tottenham have rejected the offer and insisted their player is not for sale, they look set for a battle to retain his services and Wilshere feels he should be allowed to leave.
The Arsenal youngster Tweeted: "Don't see all the fuss about Modric wanting a move..he has done welll at #Spurs but he needs to play #champions league! #inmyopinion."
Modric has expressed a desire to join a club in the Champions League, admitting that he enjoyed playing in the competition for Spurs last season when Harry Redknapp’s men reached the quarter-final stage.
Having finished the season in fifth place, six points behind rivals Arsenal who took the final Champions League spot, there will be only Europa League football at White Hart Lane next year.

It's bad enough that we get tapped-up by the Chavs, but to have a young and inexperienced Gooner poking his nose in and "advising" Modric to leave Spurs takes the absolute biscuit! What the hell does that little upstart know about anything? Hadn't he best worry about half his team mates leaving his club?
I hope the FA does something about this. It's absolutely disgraceful.

You can't really relate players like Nasri and Fabregas to Modric. Those 2 former players have CL football already at Arsenal, which is essentially the heart of the matter with Modric. He wants to move for CL football. Nasri et al would not be so inclined to stay were they in Modric's position.

His agent knew nothing about it and he's on a boat somewhere ......I'm not saying there isnt some truth to it but how much is the question....Anyway it's totally irrelevant as he wont be sold

Modric has been at Spurs for 3 years and signed a MASSIVE contract just last season. Now all of the sudden he has a change of heart.

A player commenting in public on another player about leaving their club who plays for a club who were unhappy about other players suggesting in public their captain should leave.
Oh the irony!
Then fans from the club of the player now making public comments attempt to defend this player from their club despite the fact that they were heavily critical and angry about other players commenting in public about their captain leaving.
On the irony! Or should that by hypocracy?

What would have been the point in giving Modric a new 6 year contract last season only so that we can sell him the very next season. I cannot believe that Modric would be so dense as to believe that Levy would ever agree to it!

I see it more of a case that Chelsea know we are going to be a real threat next season and are trying to de-stabilize our squad.
Harry has got to convince Moddy that we are a better team than Chelsea and that with the right players coming into the squad this Summer we have a better chance than they of finishing in the top 4.
