I hadn't seen Joe Hart's Dance Instructor's article before posting mine. Sorry for covering the same ground!

WUMs with nothing constructive to say will be deleted, by the way.

So, to extend his "logic"/opinion, Fabregas has done well at Arsenal and should be allowed to win trophies at a bigger club Barcelona.

Somehow I doubt his view would be consistent on that.

Nah he is already done that. Best young player in the country the last time i checked. His name gets a mention every 10 minutes in a championship he is not even playing in.

TBH that's probably a fair comment but it doesnt do him and Arsenal any favours to get involved when it has absolutly nothing to do with them .....What do you think Whingers reaction to this story will be ????

He said Modric should be a CL player. Fabregas and Nasri are playing for a team in the CL.

What about beating up women outside nightclubs? being arrested twice? spitting on cabbys? crying on Twitter every 5 seconds? asking for players to be carded?

Yeah a REAL name for himself there

I bet he gets some stick when we play you. I really wouldn't want to be in his boots when he runs out in front of the mighty Spurs' faithful.

It doesnt matter ////all that matters is that it's got nothing whatsoever to do with him and it's very unprofessional to comment on another clubs player

Not really. Its Wilshere view that Modric is a CL player. And having played against him his view holds more weight then most of us here.

It's one thing to say that Modric should be playing in the CL (we all know that), but it's quite another to say that he should leave Spurs. It's got absolutely nothing to do with that plum, and he should keep his nose out of it. Especially, as he will know that both Harry and Levy have made it absolutely clear that we are not prepared to entertain any offers, from any club, and what ever the price.

For my own part, I think it's cruel to keep either Fabregas or Nasri at your club when it is abundantly clear that neither of them want to remain there. Do the honourable thing and let them both leave, now. At least you'll have retained a little bit of your dignity.

Have Cesc and Nasri come out and been as blunt as Modric has? No. They have shown us way more respect. Cesc wants to leave to his boyhood and best club in the world. Even then only this week Cesc has come out and said he still loves it here despite Barca. As for Nasri well if people can't see this as a player trying to get more money then you got to be stupid. Nasri is set for more talks with Arsenal this week over his wage demands. We will se what happens. But Modric has made pretty clear what he wants.

.................

It's a little smelly that the bloke who wrote all this in the Mail which is the ONLY sorce of this story has been on the banned list at WHL for years .....So do we know the circumstances of this interview ...do we know that his words havnt been twisted ????

The story has been out for nearly a day. Neither Modric or his agent have come out and denied it. If the Mail put words in Modric's mouth then surely he would have come out by now and said otherwise?

You can't really relate players like Nasri and Fabregas to Modric. Those 2 former players have CL football already at Arsenal, which is essentially the heart of the matter with Modric. He wants to move for CL football. Nasri et al would not be so inclined to stay were they in Modric's position.

posted on 18/6/11

His agent knew nothing about it and he's on a boat somewhere ......I'm not saying there isnt some truth to it but how much is the question....Anyway it's totally irrelevant as he wont be sold

Modric has been at Spurs for 3 years and signed a MASSIVE contract just last season. Now all of the sudden he has a change of heart.

Can't imagine why. Regular Europa League not enough for him

A player commenting in public on another player about leaving their club who plays for a club who were unhappy about other players suggesting in public their captain should leave.

Oh the irony!

Then fans from the club of the player now making public comments attempt to defend this player from their club despite the fact that they were heavily critical and angry about other players commenting in public about their captain leaving.

On the irony! Or should that by hypocracy?
