Spanish sports rag Marca's lead story today is that Barça are ready to put Villa on the market. Guardiola has promptly and strongly denied the rumour, labelling the Marca story as 'lies'.
It's true however that the Spain striker seems to have lost his starting place to Alexis Sánchez who, to compound matters, had a great game vs R.Madrid in the clásico.
So, if the rumours were to be true, where can you see him ending up?
I can't see him moving back to Valencia or to any other Spanish club for that matter. In the PL, City and Chelsea, seem to have the position well covered, United's priorities should evidently lie elsewhere, RvP's on fire for Arsenal and I don't think Villa would want to move to warm another bench.
Do you reckon he'd fit in at Liverpool or Spurs - and would he be an odds-on starter for their big games - or do you think he'd wind up at one of the bigger Italian, German or French clubs?
David Villa up for grabs?

Get villa on loan or a minimal transfer fee only.

Villa got the nod today ahead of Sanchez for the WCC SF game vs Al Sadd (Pep probably looking to keep Sanchez fresh for the potential final), but he's just been subbed off injured in the 1st half.

Wow, yes, tibia it seems. First estimates reckon he'll be out 4-6 months. Hmm, well that snuffs out any potential loan deal. Let's hope he make a speedier than expected recovery.
