Would probably be tempted to follow Pep to Spurs.
We need Villa
If RVP gets injured, that's the end, man. Game over, man, game over.
He's a fiery character so if he is shunned by Barca (probably lies) he seems the sort that'll probably do a Tevez and switch to his main rivals. In this case Madrid....
"We need Villa"
Not to foul plasticman when you play them.
Wouldn't have him for over £15m. Old and not as good as he once was.
I think we should sign Sanchez, then Villa can get his place back in the Barca team. Simple and all parties would be happy!

I'm serious. I'd rather have young players with more hunger to achieve in life
Spending £20m+ on a player who will player for just one or two seasons isn't worth it when you're building a team..
The problem with Villa for all parties concerned is that he is a very good player but over the age of thirty. So how much is he worth? Well to Barcelona he's worth over 20m but to clubs willing to buy him, he isn't, as he's only a few years left.
He could always go to Chelsea, they see to be the place for over the hill Spanish players on big wages!
Five Times - Your saying you wouldn't pay £15 million for a CL winner who has been fairly consistent in the best team in the world? He has a good 3 or 4 more seasons in him and if he makes the difference between getting into the CL and not...its a small price to pay
Would love him at Spurs but of course it would never happen!

Problem is, I can't see him moving to a side where he'd be likely to warm the bench. He's always been a starter for the clubs he's played for and scored a minimum of 20 goals (all comps) for them for 10 straight seasons. That includes last year at Barça.
I doubt any striker in world football can boast those numbers. Even this season, with his loss of form and fall from favour, he's almost half way there (9 at the moment).
He's never really been a player who's relied on pace all that much, so having just turned 30 a few days ago, I reckon he could still deliver good returns for another 2-3 years.
BahamaSpurs, Villa's never been a controversial character - rather the opposite. He's never publicly complained about lack of game-time nor angled for a move and has served the clubs he's played for loyally.
Even when his transfer to Real Madrid fell through at the end of the 08/09 season, he still gave his best and bagged 29 goals to help Valencia to a Champions League berth.
Greedy RRP : is Damiao + Pep not enough for you ??
The quality of David Villa for 2 seasons far outweighs the quality of Carroll can offer in a lifetime
I honestly think Spurs should put a bid on for Torres. Redknapp has a decent record of buying players who have had a bit of a mare and turning them round.
Damiao is out of reach..he is out of reach i tells ya

They could easily afford his wages, the shirt sales alone would be worth a fortune.

This is not true, one of our scouts (who i hope is now fired) said Suarez was not good enough and wouldnt suit our play...
I'm sure Arry could arrange that the player would have no tax or NI deductions from his wages.
