Why Dosen't De Jong Play For You?

Hey,

I don't know a hell of a lot about De Jong but I strongly thought he was one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. He had a great world cup and was fantastic for you last season I thought but every time I look at the Man City's line up for a big game or most premier league games he's not on the team sheet.

Barry and Yaya Toure play instead. Even though I think they're both good players I still think that De Jong is better ( Not a lot, but still better )

So yeah, what are your opinions on this?

And why hasn't he been playing much?

Spurds are on our board more than anyone else so i'd say them.. As for NDJ he would play more if he got rid of his agent.

Leeds, spent a fare bit not to long ago Tommy but paid for it big time.

Good team that almost got to the CL final, shame what happened really.

He had a bad injury that kept him out for over a month, and the looked shakey for another month after that. In the last month or so he's made a decent number of appearances and seems to be getting back to his best.

Last year I couldn't imagine us ever getting by without him, but we've shown that we've got players able to do his job just as well.

That said, it does bother me that Yaya seems undroppable. He's been great at times, but against Chelsea he seemed to lose his head and was sloppy with the ball. I hope he finds it hard to regain his place when he returns from ACON; I can see De Jong relishing his return to the side and not giving up his place without a fight.

And, yes, his agent is a problem.
