I threw my season ticket in the rubbish bin in the kitchen! My missus was busy trying to bang the dog with the brush because of his foraging, with the pies and muffins.I went to the local fish and chip shop problem solved.I dont even want to go to Ewood any more as long as Kean is in control and Venkys.I think I will call it a day and reflect on previous years and hold the great memories in my mind because this is not my Rovers!

Starrover; you and I go way back mate, I first saw t'Rovers in 1958 or 59 and I have never felt so helpless about the situation. It's also interesting that all my footy mates who support other clubs are quiet, no emails bragging about them being up and us being down. There is a kind of hushed sympathy from them. They know we are helpless bystanders and I think most true footy fans are stunned by what has happened in Blegburn in the last 12 months, knowing it could be their team someday. This could be start of a horrible new trend for poorer clubs and no one should be smug about what's happened to our club.

As bad as Blacknurn are and as depressing as it must be with that Clown in charge
Atleast you support your local side
Your man U's, chelsea's etc dont know what real stress as a football fan feels like! I've been in your position over and over again and by god it don't get any easier
We got rid of RDM in a not to dissimilar position, brought in an experienced, quality head coach and then we were fine
The only problem is, WHO could you get in

blumbleh stop talking out of your arr ssee! starover isn't saying that he is abandoning the team because of results, he is saying that they are taking the mickey and that our Rovers is not the Rovers we grew up with. You mark my words Venky's will sell next year when we are in the championship after selling Samba, Hoillet, Robinson etc, and will have made a tidy profit.
Kean also has a financial stake in the club believe it or not (That is why he is still in charge) It is all so very very wrong.

It comes to something when my mate, a Burnley fan, is saying that the only way for Rovers to come back from this is to basically do a Leeds. Im tending to agree with him because otherwise we will have these fools in charge. Dont slate me for this but im thinking here that Kean is not the worst problem we have at Ewood.

I think its the helpless feeling that gets to me!No-one at the club seems to be doing anything its like 1965 all over again!I remmember playing the last game at Ewood against Man U who had a reserve eleven and still won 4-1.I am so upset and dissapointed about this all.

The owners are the biggest problem you have at Ewood. A new manager might get you out of trouble, but with clueless owners, who's to say they will hire the right one, or even sack the current one. I think the comment about Venkys selling your star players and then the club, making a healthy profit from it, is not too wide of the mark.

Star,
Sorry I wasn't there for you brother, I sought solace at the bottom of a bottle.
All we can do is pray!
Much as I'm a pessimist about the current regime I believe in 135 years of blue and white. These mercenaries can dismantle a team, our status and seek personal gain.
They cannot take your hope or pride, your first memory of going to Ewood, the joy that still remains when we find the net. Heartbreaking as it is watching at the moment deep down that pride remains!

Well said Pie man, I'll drink to that -again.
Great memories of Peter Dobing hitting it so hard when he scored that once the ball jammed inside the net. Bad memories of Rovers being so dire that the crowd were shouting to "Bring back that bl**dy dog that got ont'pich last week". Memories of the Darwen end being so full I moved 20 ft without my feet touching the ground trying to get out at the end of a match, Eusabio scoring in somebody's(?) testimonial, Burnley supporters' clever tricks, the smell of those pies (nothing personal), the Fazackerly years, Shearer joy that we were the best in the land. Aye your right, at least we have us memories - drinking more now
