Demba Ba will in all probability be like Andy Carroll at Newcastle, good at a club where he has no pressure. As soon as one of the big clubs buys him, he will sink like a stone.

I was going to make that point how is there no pressure being the main man in a 52000 full stadium and everyone relying on you but whatever

On a different tack did anybody watch the Pool match today .......Was their goal offside ???? on first look it seemed to be OK but it looked very tight on second viewing , the angle was a bit iffy but I'm undecided

Well as Newcastle have not actually won a domestic trophy since 1955 (I make that coming up to 57 years this season), they can hardly be classed as a big club.
Supporters through the gate do not equate to a big or a great club I am sorry to say.

But more fans = more pressure no?

Your club was renamed in homage to your owner.
Who actually might be (or might end up there) .

I think Pardew is doing great job with some surprise buyings and with a better owner they will be up there
