8 million and pav? Is that a joke or an insult? Or meant to be both?

8million times it by 5 mate

Newcastle won't sell cheap.
If Carrol went for 30m they'd want
at least that for Ba.Won't hurt to put
a bid in...

why was Carroll worth 35million??

Pav = 8million + 8million =16m fair deal

posted on 26/12/11

Actually it reads like classic Levy to me.
It could be a done deal in 4 weeks.

No it isn't.

January is'nt the time for fair deals.

Is Adebayor going to the ANC??
I think he came out of retirement lately.

And if no to Ba, who do we go for as Pav is a dead man walking.

Demba Ba will in all probability be like Andy Carroll at Newcastle, good at a club where he has no pressure. As soon as one of the big clubs buys him, he will sink like a stone.

Don`t touch him is my advice, unless he does it for 2 or 3 seasons in a row.

Ade is not going to ANC. We could go for
Lorente or Damaio but those might be out of reach.

You'd probably get torres for £15m if you ask nicely.

posted on 26/12/11

Hope we can get Damaio, should of done a double deal when we got Sandro.

Yeah this he's rubbish so stay away.

Cannot see us buying a striker in Jan , I think that will happen when we know what's happening about Ade

I can see us putting in a double bid with Blackburn for their C.B and their Winger

I don't watch Newcastle much so apologies if I'm wrong, but isn't Ba a striker in the poacher mold? If so do we really need such a player? Defoe, whilst admittedly not being as prolific as Ba has recently been, has impressed me of late and has scored a decent amount of goals.
Surely what we need is to either sign Adebayor or a similar player permanently who can link up with midfield, pass and actually finish.

posted on 26/12/11

Erm not really a poacher. He is pretty all round. His hold up play is good, his goals on wed were both screamers. Strong in the air good left foot and not a bad long range pass. Also a fantastic first touch and great link to cm's.

10 million plus Bassong and Townsend on loan for Hoilett and Samba

posted on 26/12/11

Well if he can do all that Andy, I'd love him to come to Spurs. I wouldn't worry about us nabbing him though. He would definitely cost 20 mill plus in the January transfer window and we'll never pay that.

I would like us to make a move for Dembele

On a different tack did anybody watch the Pool match today .......Was their goal offside ???? on first look it seemed to be OK but it looked very tight on second viewing , the angle was a bit iffy but I'm undecided

Well as Newcastle have not actually won a domestic trophy since 1955 (I make that coming up to 57 years this season), they can hardly be classed as a big club.

Supporters through the gate do not equate to a big or a great club I am sorry to say.
